Writing Inspired by Readers & Travel

Although I spend time with my writing friends several times a week, I don’t talk about my books as I’m writing them. One exception to this is HER GREEK BILLIONAIRE. I chatted with readers a ton about it before and during the process of writing it. Lysander is a Greek tycoon because readers polled in my FB group, Lucy’s Book Nook, voted for a Greek hero in my next billionaire romance.

Worried about including the characters going on a cruise as part of the storyline, I asked them what they thought about that too. The positive response was fantastic.

While on a cruise with my husband to Mexico, I was able to do a ton of research for the book and get oodles of inspiration.

I was working on the beginning of the book at that time too and posted snippets of each day’s progress for my readers.

The coolest thing is that there is more than one scene in the book heavily influenced by my experience aboard ship. When you read HER GREEK BILLIONAIRE, you’ll recognize this necklace and how it was made from one of the scenes between Rowan and Lysander.
