Warning. Today is more of a blurb than a blog. Short, to the point. Just something I wanted to share.
I want to be happy. Doesn’t everyone? Heck, according to the Declaration of Independence—United States of America edition—one of our inalienable rights is the right to happiness. Or rather, the pursuit of happiness.
You have to love our founding fathers. They knew better than to hand out guarantees.
We must look for what makes up happy, and we can’t rely on, depend, or expect anyone to provide the solution. Simple? No. But what worth having ever is?
Which brings me to books. They make me happy. Writing them is frustrating, but nothing beats typing the last word of a happily ever after ending. I guess I can guarantee the happiness of my characters. Yay, fiction!
Our everyday lives can be hard to fathom. More and more, the headlines are filled with what should be unimaginable realities. Tragedy has become the norm. Books aren’t the solution to the world’s problems. However, for a few hours, we can find an escape. Whether you read the words or listen to a narrator’s interpretation, give yourself a break.
Find a book. Pursue your happiness.
I love your version of our hometown much more than the reality! LOL. That being said, I remember our dreams of becoming authors and I am so proud of you for pursuing that dream and making it a reality!
