If you know me you probably know by now that I write psychic romantic suspense under three different names: Jayne Ann Krentz for contemporaries, Amanda Quick for historicals and Jayne Castle for my futuristic stories.
Things were going swell until I realized the horrifying truth. The dust bunnies had taken control of my Jayne Castle world. Send help! Save yourself!
If you have never tried my futuristic psychic romantic suspense set on the planet Harmony you can’t begin to understand how dire the situation is here in the JayneVerse. The dust bunnies started out as cute little side-characters, a cross between a charming cat and a loyal dog. Sure, they have some psychic talent and as the saying goes when it comes to dust bunnies “by the time you see the teeth it’s too late” but so what? I was the writer. I was in charge.
It wasn’t long before I started hearing from readers. That was when it hit me. No one seemed to care about my snappy dialogue, clever plots, sexy heroes and strong, smart heroines. Nope. All anyone talked about was the dust bunnies. I first noticed that they were taking control when I realized I had begun dedicating the books to various dust bunnies. The next thing I knew the critters were getting the final scenes. They snuck in more time on the page. And in my new release, GUILD BOSS, the starring dust bunny somehow managed to land in the first sentence on the very first page. See for yourself. Here’s the opening of GUILD BOSS:
The Lord of the Underworld showed up with the dust bunny and a pizza.
Lucy Bell figured she was probably hallucinating again. She ignored the figure looming in the arched doorway and focused on the dust bunny.
“Right on time, Otis,” she said. “I’m hungry.”
The dust bunny chortled a greeting and bounced across the glowing green quartz floor. He stopped in front of the massive quartz throne where she lounged, the black skirts of her bridesmaid dress draped over one arm of the grand chair.
She leaned down and scooped him up. Clutching his warm, fluffy body steadied her nerves and her senses. Otis, at least, was real. She risked another glance at the doorway. The Lord of the Underworld was still there. He was the one with the pizza box. Usually Otis carried it in two of his six paws.
“Hades, I presume?” she said, going for cool and polite. She had discovered the hard way that strong emotions tended to exaggerate the visions, making them more intense.
Hades held out the pizza box and smiled a slow, satisfied smile. “I’ve been looking for you, Persephone.”
“Why?” she asked, deeply suspicious. “I’m already in hell.”
“I’m here to take you back to the surface.”
“Is that right?” You had to be skeptical when it came to hallucinations. The brain was easily deceived by the heavy paranormal atmosphere in the Underworld. Best to run a test. “Let me have a slice of pizza first.”
“Help yourself,” Hades said. He raised the lid of the pizza box. “Looks like cheese-and-olive. You’re lucky the whole pizza made it to this chamber. There were several times along the way when I thought seriously of helping myself to a slice. It’s real. I’m real, too. Gabriel Jones. Guild Security.”
See what I mean? I think I’m doomed. The epitaph on my tombstone will probably read “Here lies whats-her-name. She wrote the dust bunny books”.
Otis, the dust bunny in GUILD BOSS, sends his greetings. He hopes you will enjoy his book. One person who comments will win an Amazon or B&N gift card — readers choice.
Sincerely,
Jayne
Absolutely love the dust bunnies! I’m rereading all the dust bunny stories right now while awaiting Guild Boss. The dynamics between your heroines and heroes is always great and the dust bunnies are just delightful! Can’t wait to read Guild Boss.
Thanks, Liz S! I hope you enjoy Guild Boss. The dust bunnies are very excited that you are looking forward to their new story. –Jayne
Oh yeah! Want a dust bunny of my own.
I’ll let the dust bunnies know! They adore being adored.
I keep hoping someone will make a dust bunny toy, just like the one Otis carries. I keep looking at stuffed animals hoping to see one I can somehow morph into pretending is my own dust bunny. If it does happen, PLEASE let you be the one in charge of designing him. No publishing company who never read the books and makes the dust bunny look like a rabbit. There can even be a little online store for dust bunny accessories so when we chose our pal, we can find little outfits or items to purchase for our pal’s chosen special collection horde.
That is absolutely adorable! I love the dust bunnies! I have several myself! Your books always make me smile, and your historicals are still on my shelves. Can’t give them up, but I do need to catch up with Harmony!
Thank you!
Great! See you on Harmony. The dust bunnies are waiting.
Your story telling has always drawn us in and keeps us coming back for more from the Jayne Castle world. However I have to say that life would be a whole better if we had more dust bunnies running around.
Thank you! The dust bunnies are in total agreement with you.
I love this series. I’m just finishing re-reading it in preparation for Otis and the Guild Boss.
The dust bunnies and I are thrilled that you’re looking forward to GUILD BOSS. (The dust bunnies are beside themselves).
HA, I will admit I love a little chaos and I’m one of those gr reviewers who’d go “Yay! A dust bunny!”, so I’m anticipating this one with glee…But it’s your noir homages that currently top my list of “Best JAK books”.
I’m so glad you are enjoying my Amanda Quick Burning Cove series!
Thanks for taking the time to let me know that you enjoy my Amanda Quick Burning Cove books!
Always love your Harmony books, the dust bunnies just add a little extra to the stories
Thank you! But it has become clear that the dust bunnies are convinced they are the stars of the books! So glad you’re enjoying them.
Glad you’re enjoying the Harmony books!
It has been a while since I read your Jayne Castle books… adding this to my list! 🙂
sounds interesting
Welcome back to Harmony. The dust bunnies are waiting for you.
Love all your books but must say there is a special place in my heart for dust bunnies. Can’t wait for the new book. When will dust bunnies take over the world? I look forward to living in that world.
I thank you and the dust bunnies thank you. There is definitely something to be said for a dust bunny world.
What a fantastic opening scene! I can’t wait to read Guild Boss because I do love your “snappy dialogue, clever plots, sexy heroes, and strong, smart heroines” as well as the dust bunnies.
Ah, thanks. I really appreciate that.
I love all your genres but the dust bunnies are my absolute favorite characters! ❤️
I thank you and the dust bunnies thank you!
Dust bunnies, like their earth counterparts (known as kitties) rule! From one of the many dedicated dust bunny fans, may the bunny universe rule!
So true!
I’ve had GUILD BOSS recommended to my library for months now. Yes, I do love the dust bunnies but it’s your characters, their dialogue and your mysteries that keep me coming back for each book. I have them all and plan on continuing that collection.
Thanks so much for recommending GUILD BOSS to your library! Yay! The dust bunnies will be so excited.
I’m so thrilled to go back to Harmony! I love the setting of the futuristic world you’ve created. It’s one of my favorite series, I’ve lost count of my rereads throughout the years. The dust bunnies are a perfect addition and really do steal the scenes! I’m excited to see what Otis brings to the table! Thank you so much for taking us back to Harmony!
Ahem, well, I can tell you right now that one of the things Otis will bring to the table is a cheese and olive pizza!
Long live the dust bunnies!!
The dust bunnies are great, but they wouldn’t exist without the stories you place them in. I’m having a hard time waiting for Guild Boss to show up. I’m glad I’m not allergic to dust bunnies!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy the stories.
The dust bunnies are a favorite of mine! I’m so glad they are back. Love all your books no matter which genre you are writing.
Thanks so much! Not every reader will follow me across all three of my worlds. I am truly grateful to those who do.
I’m a huge fan of all your various series, but must admit that the dust bunnies hold a special place in my affections. That being said, your characters, snappy dialogue and interesting plots keep me coming back for more. After all, the bunnies aren’t in your other series and I love those, too.
Thank you for following me across all three of my worlds — dust bunnies or not!
Started out reading your Amanda Quick books (I still recommend Ravished to everyone), went on to Krentz and then Jayne Castle, which I think are my favorites. Definitely Team Dust Bunny!
Love all of your books, but I always find myself re-reading the Harmony books. Just finishing up Rain Shadow again. Thanks for continuing with the Harmony books and dust bunnies.
I’m definitely a dust bunny lover. How can you not love them? Cut, adorable, and dangerous!
I love the dust bunnies, but I LOVE your heroes and smarty and sassy heroines! Such an imaginative world! All the types of paranormals, bosses, categories of people, the ancient tunnels! I love them all, but i’m also a SYFY fan from 50+ years back. Love your world! Keep them coming.
The world building first attracted me to your books. – Zinnia, Orchid, Amaryllis. Love them all!
I read all of your books and love the dust bunnies! Can’t wait to read Guild Boss 🙂
Love the Jayne Castle books! The dust bunnies are great! So looking forward to reading Guild Boss!!! 🥰
I love all your characters and dialogue but you are correct! I am so excited every book to learn about the dust bunny character!!
You really probably should have foreseen the dust bunny takeover. 😂 What is it that actors say? Oh yes, never work with animals or children, they steal the show. Can’t wait for the next db takeover!!
Love all of your books and of course Guild Boss is on pre-order. We love our dust bunnies!
I started with Amanda Quick historical books and expanded to all of your varieties. At the moment you have two shelves in my library. I am sure you and the dust bunnies will take over an entire bookcase. Love all your books
I love your snappy, witty dialogue and characters more than the dust bunnies! I enjoy the dust bunnies but would absolutely DNF the book of the story and plot did not interest me. Love your books and super excited for the next Jayne Castle book. So happy these books have continued. I frequently re-read your Jayne Castle books as they bring me joy ( and I totally wish I had cool psychic powers 🙂 )
I can hardly wait to read your next dust bunny entry!!!! I’ve been reading your books forever and love ever one, but I will admit the Jayne Castle books are my most frequent rereads!!!
I love your books under any name and there is nothing wrong with having a good Dust Bunny lead the way. I wouldn’t mind having one myself and they do, after all, protect, help and befriend their chosen human.
We all could use a dust bunny. Mine would be obsessed with the exotic orchids in the underground forest, just like its human is in this world.
I have been reading your books from the very beginning. Then, one day my 70ish year old dad walked in the door while I was listening to them on Audible. He was all over the dust bunnies! Dad just turned 80 and I will walk up to him and he is listening to one of your books (for the umpteenth time) and smiling as the Dust Bunnies pretty much rule the underworld and their humans.
Thank you so much for all the laughter along the way.
Snappy dialogue and great plotting are what makes you a must buy author. I have every book from my first read “Gentleman Pirate” on through the Burning Cove group, but dust bunnies are such fun! You give them dialogue with out words.
I have to admit I love the snappy dialogue and the romances, but your dust bunnies do tend to steal the show! Can’t wait to hear Otis’ story!
I have loved and enjoyed all your genres and adore the dust bunnies, but my favorite of all is still Scandal!
Have not read any of this series yet. Must go to book store as soon as possible. I think I have enough dust bunnies to start a colony.
I am so excited that another book is coming out. I love the dust bunnies. I love that they are becoming a big part of the Harmony universe.
I’ve been reading your books since the beginning. I very much look forward to them. Your characters are always fun and interesting. The dust bunnies are a very special addition to your Harmony books, kind of like when you add that special something to a recipe that puts it over the top. I love all your books!
I Know when I get a Jayne Ann Krentz, Amanda Quick or Jayne Castle book, I am in for a treat and I will enjoy it. My husband now reads all of your books as well. We both love the Harmony books and understand how they can steal the show. Thank you for writing such wonderful books!
Of course everyone knows…dust bunnies rock!! And rule!! Love their names, too!! Ive read every book with a dust bunny character in it!! Maybe i should try dressing my oittles dog as a dust bunny for Halloween this year? Whatcha think? Can’t wait to read the story of Otis and his human friends!!
I wish I was a dust bunny. I love secrets! And, shiny things!
I can hardly wait to meet Otis!
Love your books, I think my first was Ravished. No matter the name, your book will have me smiling. And who wouldn’t love Dust Bunnies? Thanks for sharing your vision and worlds.
Love your Harmony series but have to admit I really love the dust bunnies the most!
Thank you for posting about the guild boss and of course the dust bunny.
you are an amazing talent and I look forward to reading this one as well.
Of course I will have it in multi formats.
Thanks Again
Donna
Love the dust bunnies! Happily waiting to meet Otis ( and Gabriel and Lucy, of course)
My mom passed away in the summer of 2013, but she and I would share ALL your books as they came out – in all three genres. We most enjoyed the Harmony books, though, because of the dust bunnies and the way they have such differing personalities. And each time a new one comes out, I wish she was here to share the story with. But I enjoy them, knowing she would have loved them too. I cannot WAIT to meet Otis! (and Gabriel sounds pretty HOT, too… lol)
And now you know why actors tell you never to work with animals or small children. They steal the show.
.. am also a fan of dust bunnies.. you shouldn’t have made them so awesome. 😉
Looking forward to Guild Boss. Just did an entire re-read of the Arcane/Copper Beach/Harmony/
Rainshadow/Guild/etc series… to get ready. I started the day that Pre-orders started for Guild Boss. Unfortunately I finished it too soon. I don’t supposed you want to bump up that release date some to like.. Tomorrow?
Yes, I’m sorry, but the dust bunnies have taken over. That’s what you get for writing so well. We love cute, cuddly, and dangerous. Thanks for the chance.
The dust monies helped me a lot during the last year and a half of covid. I have a kidney transplant and have been staying home and being vigilant. I reread every Harmony book and they cheered me up. I am looking forward to meeting Otis. Thank you.
Yay, another dust bunny book! I love all your books, but the physic books are my favorite.
This is so true- they are in charge. And isn’t that a good thing? I am so grateful- somehow I hadn’t started the Jayne Castle books until the start of the pandemic…. and those lovely dust bunnies kept me sane! (just like your heroine, it seems!)
Excited for Guild Boss! I love the world of Harmony.
Dust bunnies are the best! Elvis with his shades is my favorite. I’d love one of my very own.
I really enjoy the books that you write. The dust bunnies are just a bonus to me.
Jayne Ann Krentz, Jayne Castle and Amanda Quick were/are the reasons I have survived this pandemic. I read over 100 of your books last year… you are simply an amazing author.
“…snappy dialogue, clever plots, sexy heroes and strong, smart heroines.” I care. Of course, the dust bunnies are fabulous, too.
Oh Very clever! We all love your dust bunnies but we love your witty dialogues, gorgeous heros, and the feisty and brilliant heroines too! I’ve missed Harmony and I can’t wait to read your newest adventure! Thank you for going back to Jayneverse!
I keep going back and forth on my head about how big they are. Are they hamster size, guinea pig size, bigger? I make teddy bears and I want to make myself my very own dust bunny, one I figure how big. I love them because they seem to be a cross between a dog and a cat, independent, taking off to explore on their own, yet there to comfort and cuddle when you need them, as well as often providing the “Lassie” moment, bringing help. I love all your books, like the Jones family, you get very attached.
I pre-ordered this quite a while ago I think when it was first available for pre-order and I can’t wait and I love the snippet you gave us I can’t wait to read about Lucy and Otis and Gabriel… I have read every Jayne Ann Krentz, Amanda Quick, and Jayne Castle Book you’ve written there’s no way I could ever choose a favorite but I must say the futuristic with the dust bunnies are awesome
Cheese and olive pizza??? Indeed, you do write about a strange place. The dust bunnies who inhabit the spaces under my bed agree as well!!!!
Hmmmm… there something missing— no cape, no vintage purse, no necklace or bracelet…. What is his accessory??? A take out menu, guild boss on speed dial…. But then he’d need a phone… so glad I preordered when it first was advertised….can’t wait to meet him and his humans on Harmony!!!
This year was more challenging for me than 2020. How did I survive? I re-read every single Jayne Ann Krentz/Jayne Castle/Amanda Quick out there. Nothing offered me more comfort or gave me a reason to smile late at night than a dusk bunny. They are brilliant characters created by an amazing author.
Maryanne W
I left wrong email ….hit send way to fast…. Outracing those six paws!!
Have to agree that I love the dust bunny characters. So glad you are writing more stories with them in a starring role. Already pre-ordered.
I love the dust bunnies! Especially Elvis, who has a special place in my heart.
I love the dust bunnies!!! They are so loveable and I want one. And I can’t wait to meet the next Gabriel Jones!!
Love the dust bunnies! I can’t wait to meet Otis.
The Dust bunnies are adorable and a wonderful creation.
Dust bunnies forever! 🤣🤣 I would love your books anyway, but the dust bunnies make them special. 💙
I love your Dust Bunnys, But long before them, I loved your Heros. No matter what name you write under You are the best!
Well, you could have a way worse epitaph than “Here lies Jayne Anne Krentz, creator of dust bunny books and others!💖”
Here’s to Otis and his friends!💖
I’ve been looking forward to Guild Boss since it was announced that it was coming out! I can’t wait to get my hands on the new story. Love the dust bunnies and all the antics they get up to. Makes for a great story filled with excitement, adventure, romance and laughter. Love the little taste of the story given and absolutely love the cover! November can’t come fast enough.
I’m a huge fan of your JayneVerse!!! (All three versions of you are on my bookshelves, and I love all of you! I must admit to be particularly attached to the Harmony books and their dust bunnies. I’m so excited for Guild Boss to come out. I preordered it long ago! 🐰
The dust bunnies remind us to live in the moment and enjoy life! We could use some simple joy these days. I love reading your stories under all three names!
<3 I adore your dust bunnies & they do have a life of their own <3
Love the Harmony books – and the dust bunnies. Can’t wait to read this one!
Dust bunnies take their rightful place in life 🤣. Love it. Can’t wait to read this one, so excited 😊
The dust bunnies are awesome but I don’t read your books for them. Your dialog and characters are what keep me coming back. I’ve been reading you since Candlelight Ecstasy was a line. It’s just too bad I didn’t know of the MacFadden books back then. They are so hard to find; although I did find a few.
Sorry Jayne, but the Dust Buunies win, soft paws down. I enjoy all of your books but the dust bunnies are my fav characters by far. Starting with Fuzz, i was hooked!
Can’t wait to meet Otis!
I love the dust bunnies. Can’t wait to read more of Otis.
I have enjoyed books in all of your names for many years. Can’t wait for the new futuristic story.
I just really love the dust bunnies. – and as I cleaned out my house to sell after living in it for 25+ years, it made me realize that I really wanted the dust bunnies from Harmony instead of the Earth dust bunnies that need to be swept up with a broom. Even if they do eat too much and paint walls.
I can’t wait for this book. I love your Harmony books and the dust bunnies make them great. I pre-ordered this book the first chance I had. Keep them coming!
I love all of your books. My favorite Dust Bunny is Elvis. Thanks for writing awesome books. Eula
“Seduction” was the first of your books that I read- I’ve been hooked ever since! I have your books stacked double depth on my “keeper” shelf. I’m looking forward to this new Castle work, and more Krentz and Quick titles as well.
I’ve been reading your books for a long time. In fact a bio of me at work (library) I mentioned my favorite author was you-because you could write past, present and future. But I think that I appreciate most your characters, alpha males, strong females, and of course, dust bunnies! I can’t wait for Guild Boss (and any other Harmony books)!
I love all your books but have to admit I have a definite weakness for the dust bunnies. Looking forward to Guild Boss.
I love it! As much as I enjoy the series, now that you have pointed it out, I usually wonder what the dust bunnies are going to get up to each book.
The humans and dust bunnies have a great dynamic that keeps me interested. I see them as comic relief and a sidekick. I’ve been a longtime fan of your books.
Love all the dust bunnies! Each one has their own unique personality. Can’t wait to read the new book.
I just adore the dist bunnies! They really do steal the show, err, book! I also love the snappy wit and comebacks, the heroines that don’t necessarily need a man to make everything right, and the sexy, smart mouthed heros. Your Jayne Castle books are delightful reads!
Love Harmony! Love the snappy dialogue, clever plots, sexy heroes and strong, smart heroines (and the dust bunnies of course). Can’t wait to read Guild Boss.
I read everything by JAK, but I adore the dust bunnies and the Jayne Castle world. It’s been a long, dry spell, and I need my dust bunny fix!
Sorry Jayne but the dust bunnies are always the star.
Have all the guild books. I despaired the years you didn’t have a dust bunny release.
Looking forward to the new book
I love all parts of the stories but the dust bunnies just add a nice character after all everyone wants an adorable pet even those on a different world. But I adore the after scenes like in Hot Zone where they play with the kids but also take care of their own kind
Glad that we are finally getting back to Harmony.
Here I am…wishing you would write as fast as I read. So in love with all of your books….but of course, am partial to the adorable dust bunnies. Keep up the EXCELLENT work. Xoxoxox
So I am constantly wondering who are the dust bunnies? Over time they have emerged as intelligent social creatures that have humans as pets so I wonder where the dust bunny story will finally end and if they are who I think they are. And I wonder if we will ever know or if we will be the dust bunny readers doomed to forever wonder.
I love all your books! I would love some new Amanda Quick books. I love those! I can’t count the number of times I’ve re-read them over the years. I do love your Dust Bunnies too!
I seriously want a dust bunny plushie if they were ever made or sold, they remind me of fizzgig from the Dark Crystal and they just have the cutest personalities. Though don’t worry, your stories are what keep me collecting your books 🙂
Dust Bunnies are a fabulous addition to your fabulous books! I’ll always love to read more about them!!
I have been a fan of yours since your Stephanie James days. I have loved every book of yours, especially your Harmony books one of my favorite is Shields lady and Crystal flame. Love love love your books. Keep up the good work.
Not sure what is more exciting, a new Harmony book, or a new dust bunny to adore. Love everything you write.
I love the Harmony books and the dust bunnies. Early in the pandemic, I read my way through all the Arcane Society books plus Harmony books. I had not previously read some of the AQ books in that series. If I hadn’t run out of reading material the first time that I had jury duty back in the 1990’s, I might never have discovered you. During the lunch break, I went to a nearby bookstore and found a few of your books. So happy that I bought them
Can’t wait for more dust bunnies. I’ve already pre-ordered the book. 🙂
That was the best intro to a sneak preview for a new book I have ever read! I’m one of the guilty fans who has posted about love for dust bunnies on your social media accounts. Thank you in advance for the new JC book! I cannot wait!
Dust bunnies have added an extra chuckle into the stories. Pets are an important part of life and everyone needs one that will protect you.
Why am getting Buncula vibes from that pic? XD But they do sound fun and yum a hunky hero and pizza! but hold the olives for me thanks.
Love the dust bunnies; love your brooding heroes and feisty heroines, too, as wellasvthe snappy dialog. Started with your Jayne Ann Krentx titles, then tried the Amanda Quicks because I liked the Arcane Society. Was finally enticed into reading the Castles becsuse I figured, well, I liked the others so why not. Very glad I did!
More Dust Bunny! Seriously, I enjoy all the different series whatever name you write under.
I have been waiting a long time for a Jayne Castle book. Not to say books under the other two name are not also great but there is something about the futuristic world that’s awesome. A huge part of that are the dust bunnies. I keep checking my calendar for the book release. Can’t wait!
I love this series…a favorite to reread
Of course I love the dust bunnies. I no longer see them as things to ruthlessly eradicate from the corners of the rooms or from under furniture. They could be sentient beings. If I wait long enough they’re sure to come to life. They’ll be well fed from the Cheerios, crackers, cookies and occasional M&M my grandchildren drop on the floor
Love the Dust Bunnies! But, I also love the clever plots, the snappy dialog and sexy heroes and smart heroines too!!!! I just need , um, MORE OF IT ALL! LoL
Jayne, I love all of your books, especially those on Harmony. Yes, I adore the dust bunnies and how much personality you’re able to give each one. I love how you’ve been able to cross over the three genres and link the stories. Please keep the stories coming!
I am afraid that I have not read your Jayne Castle books, but loved your contemporary and historical stories. However, I first heard mention of dust bunnies during writerspace author chats many years ago.
Just listen to the dust bunny. Dust bunnies know best! LOL!
Well, what did you expect? The dust bunnies are the stars!
I wasn’t sure what was coming when I clicked and now it makes sense. It’s true but not a tragedy! 😍 Can’t wait to see what Otis’s quirks are… 😘
Whatever did you expect! There is so much more to them than we can ever know. The real question is: Did you create the dust bunnies, or did they create you?
LOL. Good question!
I love all of your books under each pen name. But the dust bunnies do hold my heart.
Are there people that don’t like dust bunnies? I’m so glad to be back in Harmony <3
The dust bunnies under your bed must have whispered to you at night until you created them their own world
Love the stories, characters, and of course the dust bunnies. I especially like the subtle references to Old Earth people in previous books used for the dust bunnies toys, just delicious!
I’m so looking forward to Guild Boss, thank you for sharing your incredible talent with all of us! As for the dust bunnies, I’m beginning to think they have some Scottish Terrier DNA mixed in there, because those little buggers sure channel my sly little walking fuzzball sometimes….or maybe vice versa?🤔😉
I do love the dust bunnies- but I love the main characters equally with them. I do wonder how my visualization of the dust bunnies matches up with yours, and your readers.
I love your books written as Jayne Castle. I enjoy the dust bunnies but they are just part of the story. I enjoy the main characters and love the storyline. I especially like it when there is a mention of someone from a previous book. Then I go reread that book again to refresh my mind on their story. That usually leads me to reading all the books cause I enjoy them so much!
At 1 point I was going to create a dust Bunny stuffed toy for a friend, but the problem was the dryer lint did not sew well and did not stick on the stuffed animal. I do love the dust bunnies and the fact that each is individual
I remember some years back at a lecture you gave, I asked if you had ever considered marketing a stuffed dust bunny. The look on your face was priceless with your added response of asking why everyone only wanted to talk about dust bunnies. Thank you for many many hours of complete enjoyment!
You’re right… the dust bunnies are great and steal the scenes they are in. But the witty dialogue helps that happen. I have been following your writing in all your aliases for (ahem) a while, and love how you make me laugh, and hook me into the story from the first page.
I’ve got my favorites to reread, but when I want a Jayne Castle book, I read the whole series. And the flower trio too.
Thanks for writing another Harmony book. It is exactly the right time. Can’t wait to read it.
Love Hades and Persephone, Lucy’s fear of hallucination is just gripping as a unique opening. And the perfect clue that it is real, not hallucination, is that Otis is calm. Clearly he is the narrative focus, as he deserves.
The dust bunnies are fabulous, however I have read all of your books and I love them all, even the ones without dust bunnies. I love the reappearing characters that bind the stories. I don’t caare what name you write under if it has one of your names I will read it. 🙂
All your books are absolutely fantastic! I first started with your Amanda Quick book – I think it was Seduction – back in the 90s (ah, college days). When I learned you also wrote under two pseudonyms I was ecstatic! I’ve been a fan ever since. I fell in love with the dust bunnies when you started writing the Harmony books. 😁 Keep them coming, please!
I would love to have a dust bunny of my own! I especially love how they pick their humans and not the humans pick them.
I have my own twent pound dust bunny named Serena. She leaves dust balls all over the house. Can’t wait to meet Otis.
Dust bunnies totally rule the known universe!! Would love to be owned by one.
Hahaha. I like the dust bunnies, but I LOVE the Futuristic setting.
Jayne,
I LOVE your books, and I started reading the Amanda Quick ones, so it was definitely all about the story and wonderful characters. And the first few Harmony books didn’t have dust bunnies. But I do enjoy the dust bunnies, and I’m looking forward to reading about Otis and another Jones, YEAH!! Keep up the good work and Thanks I missed the Harmony world, it’s been awhile.
I’ve read a few of these… looks like I need to focus more on them if the dust bunnies are taking over!!! Definitely enjoy all 3 worlds!
The bunnies rock!
Way to haul me in with that blurb! I’ve not read any in this series but enjoy the other two personas. Looks like I’ve found another series that’ll go in my TBR (now) list. 🙂
I’m excited to read from the book one, thanks for the intro.
I like your books because you are a fantastic storyteller; an author but so much better. Storytellers make you believe.
In the Harmony books the dust bunnies are the icing on the fantastic cake!
Thanks for coming back to Harmony.
I can hardly wait for the next Harmony novel I just read sweetwater and the witch but I would like to know all the Dust bunny names I think alien partners would be so nice
ELVIS!!!!!!!
They have started selling dust bunnie (fakes) at Amazon. I just bought me one. 😆
