Girls Weekend Away

Do you have a bunch of girlfriends that mean the world to you? Or maybe you just have one, or two, friends that are your besties. Doesn’t matter how many friends you have, when you have a best friend they are worth their weight in gold. That’s what GIRLS WEEKEND AWAY series is all about. Best friends. Four women who met in college and maintained their relationship through the years, even if life did take them all in different directions after graduation – their own careers and motherhood. They reboot their friendship in WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS. The series starts here when Bonnie wrangles up her girlfriends for a wild and wicked weekend in Sin City, Las Vegas.

Each book after Vegas – MEET ME IN SAN FRANCISCO, THE NASHVILLE BET & A MATCH MADE IN MONACO – tell a story about one of the women. But one thing to remember, you don’t need to read them in order. I wrote the books so that you’d be able to jump into the story at any time and not feel like you missed out or are lost in the storyline. So, if you happen to start with one of the other books that’s absolutely fine, you can slide over to the other stories and pick up as if you’ve never left the girlfriends behind.

But now I’m celebrating a wedding in the final book! One of the girls is getting married. I won’t give any spoilers and say who’s getting married. That wouldn’t be fair to you, the reader! But this is a fun story as told by Fredi and her man, Zayn. Speaking of our hero and heroine in A MATCH MADE IN MONACO, in order to get to know the characters I conjure up an image of them in my head. Sometimes I’ll use an actor/model to help with creating a character. I’d love to know how you see the characters when you read a book. Do you like to have an image on the cover, or see the person in your mind based on how the author describes the character?

For Zayn, I knew exactly who I wanted him to be. Zayn has Italian and French heritage, he had to be dark haired, intense with a wonderful smile. I modeled him after Oded Fehr.  He’s an actor, and I think a very attractive man. If you don’t recognize his name, google him. He was Ardeth Bay in The Mummy, and that’s when he first came on my radar. For Fredi I didn’t really have anyone in my head. The only thing I knew was she had long curly hair, was petite and very feisty.

To celebrate the finale of GIRLS WEEKEND AWAY series, I’m having a big contest. How would you like a chance to win a Kindle and a whole bunch of books by some of my author friends? Click on over to my blog for details and the entry form HERE. My wish is that you enjoy Bonni, Celia, Ava, and Fredi’s adventures.

Oh! Right now, WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS is #free in US and Canada, so go and 1-click before you forget! https://amzn.to/2IiHgth

Besides love? More book clubs! When I first came up with my idea for THE BEST LIFE BOOK CLUB, I thought I was being so original, so clever. A book about a book club – yes! And then, after I’d surfaced from my writing cave back into the sunlight, I blinked and saw… all kinds… Read More
