99c New Release, Excerpt, & Giveaway!

Why did I release Shoshanna’s Short Shorts?

I realized recently that many of my readers, even some of those who faithfully read all of my novels and novellas, haven’t always been reading the anthologies I’m a part of. I understand why — spending ten dollars when all you want is to read the one story I wrote (if that’s why they’re buying the book, in which case, thank you) can really add up. Especially since I keep writing books like my life depends on it. Not always easy to keep up. (Oh hey, do you want to keep up? I’ll notify you of new releases via my newsletter).

As it turns out, I have non-exclusive rights to publish all of my short stories on my own (except for The Wooden Pony from Agony/Ecstasy from Berkley Heat, edited by Jane Litte, so that’s not in there.)  This is big! It means I could gather all those stories together for you guys! 🙂

So, I combined $93 worth of my erotica and romance stories from nine different anthologies (listed below), each which cost $9.99 individually, and added my bestselling sexy short story Overheated (which is $2.99 individually), added a brand-new, never-before-published vampire erotica story, and topped it all off with the best cherry ever — a thought-provoking essay/foreward from the incredible NY Times bestseller Skye Warren.

For a limited time, it’s just 99 cents! (Then it goes up to $2.99, which I think is totally still worth it, btw.)

Read a sneak peek at the Foreward for Shoshanna’s Short Shorts,
written by New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren!

FOREWARD by Skye Warren

Flushed skin. Parted lips. Darkened eyes.

The sexiest thing to watch is someone getting hot, their body and mind giving over to lust. Whether we’re looking at our partner between the sheets or seeing a couple make out on television, these signs of arousal trigger our own.

This is why I love reading erotica.

And why I love writing it. I’m Skye Warren, New York Times bestselling author of dark romance. I love exploring the edge of desire, the lines that bleed into fear and hope and redemption.

There are kinks that work for me on a deep visceral level. There are ones that don’t. But even then, I enjoy the story, because I’m experiencing desire through the characters. I’m watching them get turned on through the page, and no matter the kink, that is sexy as hell.

The stories in Shoshanna Evers’ anthology are varied, thoughtful, and damn hot. Fans of Maya Banks and Opal Carew will enjoy these sexy tidbits with fleshed out characters.

A woman swept off her feet by a younger, work-roughened cowboy in Drop Two Tears in a Bucket. A woman stranded on the side of the road when her car gives out—and finds herself rescued by a handsome passersby in Overheated. A couple who practice fem-dom in a public location in Blake Eats Out.

A married couple exploring bondage with a common household item. I’ll let you check the Table of Contents to guess the title to that one…

And perhaps my favorite, a woman forced to live out her coercion fantasy in the supply room of her office. “Do as I say and you won’t get hurt,” says her mysterious captor.

Well, I won’t give too much away. Suffice to say, packing tape never looked so sexy.

I first met Shoshanna Evers online, as the author of such sexy tales as Enslaved and Beauty and the Beast, which is a favorite fairy tale of mine. I knew her to be fearless from the start, as she explored kinks and sexy situations in each new book. And if you want to see an author walk the edge of sex and danger and wildness, check out Held Captive by the Caveman.

Since then I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with her on multiple projects, including the Make Me anthology, which hit the New York Times bestseller list, and Take the Heat, the criminal anthology I edited. You’ll get to read the story included in Take the Heat here as well. What I love about This Might Hurt A Bit is the playful humor infusing a serious and sensual situation. This is something unique to Shoshanna’s voice and makes it a pleasure to read.

Shoshanna’s positive attitude and professionalism have been a boon throughout, but most of all—best of all—it always comes back to the stories.

How does sex move the characters? How does it change them?

The characters of Isabelle, My Savior experience that change in a truly life-or-death situation. For other characters, like Amanda Scott who appears in both Melting Ice and Body Heat, the shift is about independence. For Ivan in Forced Orgasms, he finally experiences the fetish he’s been dreaming about—and learns acceptance.

These stories entice and enlighten, seduce and leave you wanting more. They will make your skin flushed, your lips part, your eyes darken, all of it reflecting the arousal written into every word. They ask the question—how does sex move us?

How will it change you?

i had read about 40% of the stories before, but when I got my ARC copy I read all of them straight through and wrote my review immediately which I posted on GoodReads that day, and then on all the Amazon sites: US, AU, CA, and UK and all the other sites on launch day! Wow! I loved them all, but “Overheated” is my favorite! Of course I loved “Blake Eats Out” when I realized it was Blake and his Dominatrix Victoria from the trilogy “Becoming Hers”. One of my favorite BDSM stories. It is one of only a few trilogies I have read several times! I did not particularly like the first book, but by the third book I loved it. I write BDSM romances with an HEA.

Julie and I gifted several copies on launch date and everyone loved them. Shoshanna has a couple or three new followers from those gifts! We get a lot of joy gifting especiall to a couple of friends who have limited resources!

After a summer of severe drought in the Midwest, “rain” isn’t  a word we take lightly. Finally, we started seeing same rainy days as August came to an end. What a joy to see the sky dark and threatening, and to hear the patter of rain on our roof.  Like today! But this means it’s… Read More
