Philippa Somerville
- Vampires or Werewolves?
Vampires
- True Blood or Vampire Diaries?
I’m a TV writer. If I answer that question, I may well ace myself out of my next job.
- The Notebook or Pretty Woman?
Pretty Woman
- Best way to spend Saturday night?
At home watching a movie
- Best way to spend Sunday morning?
Breakfast at one of two Salem institutions: Red’s Sandwich Shop (which started life in the 18th century as the London Coffee House) or Dotty and Ray’s. Then a trip to Front Street Coffee.
- How do you take your coffee?
I don’t! Tea please. Or even better, 18th century drinking chocolate. You can buy this recreation of a colonial beverage in several museums in Boston or online at www.mars.com.
- If you had 3 things to take with you on a desert island, what would they be?
A map, a shovel, and a compass. Desert islands come standard with buried treasure, right?
- Do you have any other books in the works? What do you plan on writing about once the Renegades of the Revolution series is over?
Will you settle for something cryptic but—I hope—intriguing? There’s a fourth Renegades book in the works and it will feature a highwayman…

Thanks for the giveaway chance
Oh I now have to order some of the chocolate! I have read about it in so many books its great to know that someone out there is making some. Thanks for the lightening round!
The Early American chocolate is pretty neat. It takes a bit of stirring to get it to dissolve, and it is a little bit like Mexican drinking chocolate, but the spice blend is different. The Peabody Essex Museum, where I used to work, had some lovely Asian Export chocolate pots. I’ll see if I can find an image online and post on my blog 🙂

And Cupid was an awesome show, just sayin’
Enjoyable post. Your talent and creativity is admirable and special. best wishes and much happiness and success.
I enjoyed this lightning round and look forward to your latest book. But for me, the tidbit that grabbed my attention the most was that you divide your time between Los Angeles and Salem. That must be quite a culture shock! 😉
Would love to read your book, and by the way I love the Vampire Diaries, and True Blood!
Nice interview
