The Watcher
by Jeanne C. Stein

Anna Strong was a tough-as-nails bounty hunter, until the night she was attacked—and became undead...

For a newly-made vampire, Anna is a hard case. That's why she's become a Watcher—one of the enforcers who keep supernatural criminals in check and deliver just punishment when necessary. But Anna is still fighting to control the raging fury of the vampire within her.

Her self-control is further tested when her lover—a DEA agent—disappears, even as a vampire serial killer terrorizes San Francisco and a Wiccan sorceress plans to raise a demon to do her bidding. Anna wants to jump into the fray, but her Watcher mentor thinks she's not ready, and sends her away for her own safety. But if there's one thing Anna has always been able to find, it's trouble...

Jeanne C. Stein's Bio

I am the author of the Anna Strong Vampire Chronicles.

I live in Denver but San Diego will always be home. It’s where I grew up. It’s where I set my books. I can show you Anna’s cottage on Isthmus Ct. in Mission Beach, take you to lunch at the Mission Cafe and grab a beer at The Green Flash.

I hope you enjoy Anna’s adventures. I have a great deal of fun writing them. Anna is a strong female protagonist who is battling the dual sides of her nature—she struggles to retain her humanity while fighting the beast within. She has a strong moral compass and values loyalty to her friends and family above all us.

If you haven’t yet discovered Anna, please give her a try. If you are a returning fan, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support. You can reach me on my website. I answer every email. I also share a blog with fellow vamp writer Mario Acevedo: http://www.biting-edge.blogspot.com We have a good time with it and I think you will too. Mario and I have the dubious distinction of being a part of a rather eclectic group of Urban Fantasy writers called The League of Reluctant Adults: http://reluctantadults.blogspot.com If you want a laugh, drop in anytime.
