Love on Mimosa Lane
by Anna DeStefano

Law Beaumont and Kristen Hemmings have watched each other from a distance for years. But Law, a bartender with a bad-boy past, and Kristen, an assistant principal devoted to helping her community, couldn’t seem more different. When they unite to mentor a young foster child and to help Law’s troubled daughter through the aftermath of her parents’ ugly divorce, their attraction deepens. They face the undeniable connection between them, and a whirlwind of challenges they can only conquer together.

A stirring love story and a candid look at the complexities of divorce, substance abuse, and our country’s foster care system, Love on Mimosa Lane is a love song to an entire community, and a novel about the power of family—the family you’ve been given, the one you’ve chosen, and the one that can lift you up, even when the world is tearing you down.

Anna DeStefano's Bio

Born and raised in the South, Anna's been in love with storytelling since she was in fifth grade and wrote her first screenplay for an English project. Anna's thrilled to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of publishing by selling her 2003 Golden Heart winning manuscript to Superromance. Look for The Unknown Daughter to hit the shelves in October, 2004.

Characters are what intrigue Anna most about storytelling. Characters in journeys we wish we could take. Characters living ordinary lives, only there's something extraordinary about the way they valiantly fight for what's most important to them. To make a story truly memorable, the journeys of its characters must reflect back to us the very best, and sometimes worst, of who we are. And Anna's found some of her favorite characters in Sueperromances over the years. She truly feels like she's come home, now that she's a part of this wonderful group of storytellers.

When Anna's not writing, you'll find her running here and there with her scary-smart eight-year-old son. And when he's in school, look for her on the tennis court—one of the few things outside her family which can compete for Anna's precious writing time. She works in crisis care, through Stephen Ministries and Rainbows. And she's been totally in love with her handsome, talented husband for over thirteen years.
