On Blue Falls Pond
by Susan Crandall

Nearly two years after tragedy drove Glory Harrison from home, she's called back to Tennessee to care for her ailing Gran. But time and the tranquillity of Blue Falls Pond cannot erase the memories of the fire that took her husband and unborn child. Her only sanctuary is in the arms of fire chief Eric Wilson, the man who saved her life that night.

His silent strength and unselfish kindness slowly break down the walls around her heart—and each moment in his powerful embrace makes it that much harder to tear herself away. But there are dark truths lurking in her past, standing in the way of a future with the hero who made her believe in herself—and in love—once again.

Susan Crandall's Bio

Winner 2004 RITA for Best First Book

Hoosier native, Susan Crandall grew up in a small town, loving the fact that if you didn't know everyone, you at least knew of them or their aunt, or their cousin, or the person who cuts their hair. She's taken the warmth and emotion of that sense of community and flavored her books, drawing fond memories from those who've lived in a small town and a quiet yearning from those who have not. After a few years in the big city (Chicago), she returned to her Indiana hometown where she lives with her husband, two college-age children, a menagerie of pets, and a rock band in the basement.
