Laura Castoro's Bio

Few writers are as prolific and sublime as Laura Parker, who has written 30 books to date. Her span of genres include, not only historical romances, but also westerns, non-fiction and contemporary romance. Several of her works have sold internationally, and she has been published in Italian, French, German, Swedish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. She has also been selected twice for hardcover editions through the Doubleday Book Club.

Laura has won many awards for her excellent writing, including selected twice as a "Literary Lion" by the Southwestern Bookseller's Association, and several "Reviewers Choice" awards from Romantic Times. She has twice been a finalist for RWA national awards and was given the Key to the City of her hometown. Her novel, Impetuous, won the New Jersey Writers' Golden Leaf Award for best Historical romance in 1995.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Laura grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She attended Howard University in Washington, DC, and The Texas A &I University in Kingsville, Texas. She has also lived in Fairfield, CT, Dallas, TX, and in Plainsfield, NJ. Laura is married to an executive of a large multi-national corporation, and they have three children. She enjoys traveling, theater, and listening to classical music.
