Red Alert
by Jessica Andersen

Dr. Meg Corning detested the way Erik Falco stormed the halls of Boston General Hospital as if he owned the place. The fallen-cop-turned-ruthless-businessman was throwing his weight around in his bid to gain control of her breakthrough medical technology. But putting this sexy stranger in his place seemed impossible once he swooped to the rescue during a series of mysterious "accidents."

Before long, the explosive heat between them set off a chain reaction of pleasure and pain that nearly immobilized her. After Falco made a heart-stopping move to keep her safe, the data-obsessed doc knew it was time to analyze his true motives—and her own traitorous desires. Could they forge a bond of trust in time to outsmart a cold-blooded killer?

Jessica Andersen's Bio

Me in five hundred words or less. . .

When I finished grad school with a PhD in Genetics, a Patent Agent's registration from the U.S. Patent and Trade Office and a finished (albeit deeply flawed) romantic suspense manuscript, I realized something kinda scary. . . I didn't want to work in a big Boston law firm, a genetics lab or a pharma company. I wanted to write romantic thrillers for a living.

Thankfully, my fiance, Brian, supported the idea (phew!). He even petitioned his company for domestic partners' health insurance so I could leave the lab to write full time, while working as a scientific editor to keep some $$ coming in.

I started writing seriously in 1998 and got The Call from Harlequin Intrigue in the spring of 2002. Dr. Bodyguard came out in the fall of 2003, and since then I've written more than a dozen Intrigues that have been translated into a variety of languages and have sold over a million copies in total. I've been nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award and two RITA awards, and hit the Waldenbooks bestseller list.

These days, I'm working on several Intrigues as well as a dark paranormal series set in the final four years before December 21, 2012, the day the ancient Maya predicted the world would end. The first of the Final Prophecy books, NIGHTKEEPERS, is scheduled for release in June 2008 as a lead title for Signet Eclipse!
