When I started writing the Vampire Primes paranormal romance series over a decade ago, I had no idea how deep, rich and textured the characters would beome and the direction they would take me. In the course of writing the series most of the stories have taken place in the contemporary world.
The more time I spent telling the Primes stories the more I became aware of their history and the possibilities of the future in this world containing vampires and werefolk (and I’m pretty sure some elves are going to show up pretty soon). So, I decided to explore the past and future of the Primes a little bit, as well as continuing to write the contemporary stories.
In this compilation you will find STEALING MAGIC, a story set in the Victorian era, dealing with how the Primes lived and loved in the 19th Century before they had the daylight drugs. Set in the far future, you will find BY SUN AND CANDLELIGHT, a story from what I call the Vampire Bookclub.
PRIMAL CALL and PRIMAL CRAVINGS are stories set in the modern Primes world. CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT, YOU’RE GROUNDED is a brand new, not yet published anywhere else entry in the Primes Universe exploring what it is like to be a modern teenage vampire girl.
An excerpt of the next Vampire Primes novel, PRIMAL RECALL (available 2014) is included as a taste of what comes next in the modern Primes world. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
