Patti Berg's Bio

USA Today Bestselling Author Patti Berg wrote her first play in fifth grade and produced it in the form of a puppet show for hospitalized children. Although her career led her in other directions, at the back of her mind, and deep in her heart, rested the passionate desire to write a novel and have it published. That long-time dream came true in 1994 with the release of her first book, ENCHANTED. Since that time, eight other novels have been published by Avon Books/HarperCollins Publishers and Warner Books. Berg has been called "one of the best spinners of tales the genre has to offer," by Affaire de Coeur magazine and "an exceptional voice in the field of romantic fiction today," by Romantic Times magazine. Her novels have received rave reviews, have been nominated for numerous "best book of the year" awards, and are consistently named as Top Picks by Romantic Times. Berg's last three novels have appeared for numerous weeks on the USA Today Best Seller List and also on the WaldenBooks Top Ten List. These romances have also been featured selections of the Doubleday Book Club and its romance counterpart, Rhapsody Book Club. Berg's July 2001 release, SINFULLY SCOTTISH, is part of an anthology from Warner Books called MY SCOTTISH SUMMER. SOMETHING WILD, a follow-up to her best selling novels BORN TO BE WILD and WIFE FOR A DAY was released from Avon Books in February 2002. Two additional follow-up books will be published in the fall of 2002 and early 2003. Patti is a member of Novelists, Inc., a national organization of multi-published authors of popular fiction. She is also actively involved in Romance Writers of America, a national writer's organization with membership of over 8,000. She is a past-president of the Sacramento Chapter. Berg has taken part in local and national efforts to raise money for literacy, and has given many talks on writing and getting published. Patti lives in northern California, with her husband Bob.
