The New Man
by Janice Kay Johnson

Helen Schaefer isn't getting married.

That's what she's decided, anyway—because she simply can't stand to think she could love and lose again. After the death of her husband, she let her daughter down terribly and she's not about to risk hurting Ginny a second time.

Meeting widower Alec Fraser—who's still dealing with his own grief—isn't enough to change her mind...at first. But after Helen spends some time with him, she starts to realize how much they have in common. Is it possible that Alec might want to have a relationship without commitment? And what will she do if he doesn't?

Janice Kay Johnson's Bio

The author of 38 published or forthcoming books for children and adults, Janice is a former librarian who now lives north of Seattle, Washington, with her two teenaged daughters (who, deeply in disguise, often appear in her books!). When she's not chauffeuring them to play rehearsals or piano lessons, she writes, quilts, gardens and is an active volunteer at a no-kill cat shelter, featured in her Superromance, Beauty & the Beasts. She also serves as doorkeeper and can opener for more cats and dogs than she cares to admit to sharing a home with.
