Beautiful but aloof marine biologist, Andrea Gaspar, is in desperate need of money to complete an in-depth study of dolphins. Unable to secure the funds through conventional means, Andrea is hired to be a surrogate for a childless couple. Though a bit taken aback when she learns that the agency that has contracted her services requires 'biological conception', Andrea agrees to the terms of the deal hoping only for the paycheck that will ensure her study's success. Enter Luke Hamilton, gorgeous but irresponsible playboy. Also in need of cash to invest in a trendy nightclub and denied a loan from his wealthy but skeptical parents, Luke signs on to father the child, thinking as Andrea does that he's embarking into a clear- cut business deal.

Emma Bruce resides in Upstate New York with her husband of twenty years and three school-aged daughters. She writes whenever she can spare a few minutes from the rigors of car- pooling, basketball game cheering and dance recital applauding.

Emma has completed two novels in the mainstream genre, but has only recently begun to try her hand at steamy fiction like BABY MINE. She had so much fun writing it, she's looking forward to her next venture into the world of spicy romance.
