I am Irish, living in Dublin with my three children, two boys and a girl. We used to live in London but moved back home to the Emerald Isle in 2012. The kids love it, they get so much more freedom to explore and play outside. They also get to see their Grandpa, aunts and uncles as well as tons of cousins.

Their father still lives and works in London and will continue doing so for the foreseeable future. Having a father working abroad isn’t unusual for Irish kids. Our country grew up on emigration — ever listened to the lyrics of the old Irish songs.
