Dear Readers:

Ready or not (and I’m guessing most of you are ready), here it comes...

No, not more snow! (Although according to the forecast, we’re about to get hit with yet another storm here in New York City, maybe to make up for the underwhelming blizzard earlier in the week!) Get ready for THE BLACK WIDOW, which goes on sale February 24 wherever print and digital books are sold. For a taste of what lies in store, check out my new video trailer—and be prepared for the creepy music (and voices) to linger in your head.

This standalone thriller is the third in my trio of social networking thrillers THE GOOD SISTER (HarperCollins, October 2013) and THE PERFECT STRANGER (HarperCollins, August 2014), which were also accompanied by my e-novella COLD HEARTED.

I’ll be on tour promoting THE BLACK WIDOW in Florida and throughout New York State from late February through mid-March. So far, appearances have been scheduled at Sleuthfest in Deerfield Beach as well as bookstores, campuses and libraries in Geneseo, Clarence, Oswego, Patterson, and Purchase. As I write this newsletter, details are being confirmed and appearances are being added, so be sure to keep an eye on my website and social media pages. I’ll provide more info in next month’s newsletter.

Meanwhile, I’m excited to announce autumn publication dates for my other upcoming 2015 novels, both of which will debut brand new series! On sale September 29th, BLOOD RED is the first title in my MUNDY’S LANDING adult suspense trilogy from HarperCollins. A month later, on October 26, Crooked Lane will release NINE LIVES, the launch book in my LILY DALE adult cozy mystery series. Both titles are now available for pre-order from your favorite retailer!

Many of you have reached out to ask me about the fate of Frenchy and Cha Cha, the two sweet kittens our family rescued from the Manhattan Kill Shelter in November and have been fostering here. Some of you have even generously contributed to their care or made donations to Ready for Rescue, the wonderful pet rescue organization that helped us pull this endangered little mother and newborn baby to safety. Thank you so much for your generosity and for all the caring thoughts. On Christmas Eve, within hours of sending last month’s newsletter, I received an email from an old friend who’d read it and wanted to adopt them both. While my husband, sons and I will miss this precious little mother and baby, it’s been gratifying to nurse them back to health and to know that they’ll be safe together forever in a loving home. Thank you, Dave—you’re truly one of the good guys!
