Summer reading used to mean going to the library and signing up for the summer reading program. At least it did for me–how about you? What are you reading now? (And you don’t have to say one of my books . I want to know what other authors you always buy or check out at the library. Tell me about these authors. I’d like to find a few new ones too!
Right now I’m enjoying some mysteries. I write sweet romance but my mind seems to enjoy a good amateur sleuth, often a woman. Recently I’ve been reading The Cat in the Stacks series by Miranda James. Love the main character–Charlie Harris, archivist at a small southern college, and his Maine Coon cat, Diesel.
Reminds me of our cat, named V-8, after the engine not the juice! When we brought him home from the animal shelter, my dh remarked that he sounded like a “V-8.” So I said that would be a good name for him. I’m also reading Rhys Bowen’s Her Royal Spyness series. set in the 1920’s in England with the main character a cousin to the king who abdicated to be with the woman he loved. Really great characters and mysteries. So those are my recommendations. If you like that time period, my book, MEANT FOR ME, is free on all online bookstores and is set in the years 1918-1929–so much happened in that decade!
