Our Family Ghost Adventure!

Ever since a spooky family visit to The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR, my husband and I love a good ghost hunter show. While we didn’t see any apparitions on our trip, we did have the A/C come on multiple times when we were trying for heat. When we called maintenance, they’d fix the unit, we’d feel heat, and then the moment they left, the air turned cold again. This happened three times before we all laughed and gave up.

The visit was to celebrate my birthday and I’d received a TINY Yorkie puppy as a gift. Daisy was about the size of a tennis ball and we carried her with us everywhere we went. We left her on the bed in a makeshift pillow crib while dashing out to grab dinner from the upstairs bar. When we got back five minutes later, Daisy was gone.

Like nowhere in the room gone!

This is not a modern hotel, so we’d left our room unlocked during our short trip upstairs. Alarmed that possibly a teen had grabbed our dog as a prank, I called the front desk. The staff couldn’t have been more kind, and they began searching the entire hotel.

About an hour later, she still hadn’t been found and we were frantic.

We made one more trip around the hotel before returning to our room—there she sat, right on the bed where we’d left her in the center of the pillow crib. Probably someone took her only to return her, but the event creeped us out, especially since no one was staying in any of the rooms near ours.

Ever since this trip, we shy away from haunted hotels! LOL!! Although we did visit the Queen Mary. Super haunted, but I’ll save that story for another day…

Happy Reading!

Boo Baby

Shoved down the stairs by a ghost?

Calvin “Hawk” Richardson doesn’t believe in love, and he sure as hell doesn’t believe in ghosts. Sure, he knew she dabbled in the paranormal as a hobby, but now that she’s taken up temporary residence in Kodiak Gorge as the historic downtown’s official ghost hunter, he plans on keeping his distance.

Delia Addams might have come to Kodiak Gorge for her work in helping people with troublesome spirits, but nothing could be more terrifying than when an ER doctor informs her she’s pregnant–with Hawk’s baby! At the perilous rate she’s going, will she live long enough to tell the only man she’s ever loved that he’s going to be a father

What a shame that Daisy couldn’t say what happened! That must’ve been worrisome to find her gone and thankfully, when you went back there she was! Whew! I would’ve been besides myself looking for her.

I made my husband take a tour in an Victorian home and the guide informed us that the house was haunted. Staff literally ran through the original owners, the house stayed in the family until the last descendent passed away and it was turned into a museum. The last owner liked things kept in a certain way. When tourism was temporarily shutdown so a construction crew could be brought in to repair the ceiling, they moved some furniture aside. Each morning they would return to find the furniture right back were it was and their tools were misplaced. Some past tourists have said they felt a presence. I found the history fascinating but I didn’t experience an odd occurrences. Thank you for the chance!

    1. Allyson thanks for sharing your creepy story!! That’s wild to hear about the furniture being moved!! Thanks for sharing!! xoxo
