There may still be candy corn in the house and a pumpkin on the porch, but at your local bookstore the winter holidays have already arrived.
Whether its new novels, sizzling anthologies, the first time in paperback, or reissues of old favorites, November’s new titles look to be all about what can happen under the mistletoe.
Fittingly, that’s practically the title of a new anthology this month by Sabrina Jeffries, with stories from Karen Hawkins, Candace Camp, and Meredith Duran: WHAT HAPPENS UNDER THE MISTLETOE. Jeffries’s contribution to the book is the historical romance “The Heiress and the Hothead,” in which two strangers from vastly different worlds turn hotheaded principles into a passionate interlude for the season.
Robyn Carr fans who missed BRING ME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS—Book 16 in her Virgin River Series—back in 2011 will get another another chance with its reissue November 15th. The book tells the story of Becca Timm who has only one item on her Christmas wish list: getting over Denny Cutler, the college sweetheart who broke her heart before heading off to war three long years ago. Becca heads up to Denny’s hometown of Virgin River as an uninvited guest on her brother’s men-only hunting weekend, only to find herself stranded in close quarters with Denny just as the power of Christmas envelops the little town.
Marie Ferrarella’s Matchmaking Mamas Series takes a holiday turn in THE COMING HOME CHRISTMAS. Keith O’Connell is trying to belie the old adage: You can’t go home again, when he returns to his hometown to sell his late mother’s house—determined that not one single thing will remain by the time he is done. Estate sales specialist Kenzie Bradshaw worries he is tossing some memories he shouldn’t lose. She convinces him to spend one last Christmas in his family home, hoping the experience will melt his hardened heart and bring back the man she used to know and love.
And to round out November, Sherryl Woods’s THE CHRISTMAS BOUQUET, Book 11 in her Chesapeake Shores Series, is out for the first time in paperback.
If that isn’t a Christmas miracle for Sherryl Woods fans, I don’t know what is.
What is your favorite holiday novel? One person who comments will win a big bag of swag from RWA 2015.
