Meet RP Dahlke at the 2020 Tucson Festival of Books

I'll be at Tucson Festival of Books, March 14-15, 2020. Booth #427, Tucson Chapter of Sisters in Crime, Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yes, all day, both days!

I'll have all the books from THE DEAD RED MYSTERY SERIES and my sailing novels. Bring your books for me to sign or buy a new print book and I'll sign it.

As promised, here are some tidbits about one of my Arizona books: [cover]

In the first book, A DEAD RED ALIBI, my protagonist's dad is stranded in a mine pit next to a dead body.

Thousands of these pits were dug when miners were looking for that big pay off in copper, silver, or gold. Most of them have been mapped for forestry service and law enforcement, sealed over or fenced so cattle and dirt-bikes don't fall in. But every once in a while, a horse, or a mule does fall in, and, because murder happens occasionally someone uses a pit to hide a dead body.

I really like her characters in this new book and I hope I'll see more of them in a series.

[cover]Juni Fisher is an award-winning country singer, and now her 1st novel, GIRLS FROM CENTRO, has also won a prestigious award. Like the 1st three books in my Dead Red series, her book is about a woman sleuth and based in California, and I highly recommend it.

Everyone deserves a champion who will stand up for them.

Titus Strong, attorney to the rich and famous, despises what he's done. Haunted by guilt, he's thinking of giving up the legal profession altogether.

In the summer of 1894, what better place to escape to than Shipwreck Point, home to luxury hotels, bawdy houses, gambling establishments, and a corrupt local government? His transgression of successfully defending a guilty killer will hardly be noticed.

But when a woman he's befriended, who is also a local madam, is accused of murder, he's forced to reconsider his decision.

With the help of his new secretary and a former Pinkerton detective, Titus is determined to prove her innocence.

But will he be risking more than his reputation by defending her? Or will he finally find a path to redemption?

Available now on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
