Yes, we’re now ensconced in the holiday season.
My husband and I visited family in Indiana for Halloween, and others, including family members, will be visiting us later this week for Thanksgiving. Then, next month, are Christmas and Chanukah.
How does my writing fare in all of this? Well, my last two books of 2018, Trained to Protect, for Harlequin Romantic Suspense, and Visionary Wolf, my last Harlequin Nocturne, have now been published. My next mystery, For a Good Paws, the fifth and last of my Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries for Midnight Ink, will be a May 2019 release. And it’s the last book I’m currently under contract for.
Does that stop me from writing? Not at all! I’m working on something different at the moment that I hope finds a publishing home someday, even if that home happens to be my own. One thing I can tell you about it that won’t surprise any of you who are familiar with me: it involves dogs.
And it’s premature for me to talk about it, but I am anticipating some good news that I’ll hopefully be able to report on next time I blog here.
So, right now my holiday season is shining brightly. I belong to many organizations, mostly writing or dog related, and over the next month will be attending a lot of holiday parties they’re throwing.
I hope all of you have as fun and busy a holiday season as I’ve now begun. Enjoy your family. Enjoy partying. But don’t forget to read–or write, if that’s what you do.
For now–for this week: Happy Thanksgiving!
I can’t imagine you writing something without a dog somewhere in the background. Our four-legged friends bring a lot of life to a story. Keep us posted as to your next venture. Happy Holidays.
