It’s February 2–Groundhog Day!
I grew up in Pittsburgh, not far from Punxutawney, Pennsylvania, where the most notorious groundhog of them all, Punxutawney Phil, looks for his shadow every year to determine how soon spring will arrive. Is he always right? No, but I think his record isn’t too bad.
In any event, it’s still winter, even here in L.A. And this year we’re actually having an L.A. winter. We’re getting some chilly weather and rain!
Hard to believe that an entire month of this year has already passed, though. It’s one month closer to the publication of my next two novels. BAD TO THE BONE, the third Barkery mystery, will be a May 2017 release, and PROTECTOR WOLF, the eighth paranormal romance in my Alpha Force miniseries for Harlequin Nocturne, about a covert military unit of shapeshifters, will be published in June.
So far, it has been a good year, and hopefully that will continue… for me, and for you. Enjoy your February–and I hope Punxutawney Phil or your closest groundhog comes up with a forecast for spring that you’re happy with.
