My house is on the market and this life-changing event has given me a dramatic change of perspective. As an author, it has struck me how much a home and a writing a book has in common. In both cases, we fret, we worry, we keep it up and clean it out, we come to it after a long day and settle in, hoping to find a little comfort, and when the time comes we must let it go.
After a year of contracts, hard work, writing, plotting, and talks with agents, editors, bloggers and fans, the time has come for Savannah Sacrifice to be let go and handed to my readers and my fans. I am so pleased and excited to share a little piece of myself and my heart with the world.
Savannah Sacrifice is the fourth book in the Nymph Series and was probably the hardest of the four to write. It was complex, intricate, and an absolute thrill to create. There were parts of the book that I knew would be a part of the story, but when it came to writing them, they were still a shock to add. Just when you think everything is going to be all right, a twist changes everything.
As I look around me, I realize how often this happens in a home. Life has a way of keeping us on our toes. Yet, I’m a perpetual optimist. I whole-heartedly believe in a positive attitude and the power of hope. Some people will think I’m crazy, but I believe that there is always a happy ending. Maybe the ending isn’t what we thought it would be, maybe it isn’t what we were expecting, but sometimes those unexpected endings are the ones that we enjoy the most.
Cheers to a wonderful summer. One filled with great memories, great books, and a world of hope! I hope you enjoy Savannah Sacrifice just as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.
