Growing up in Minnesota, I’ve always loved autumn. The incredible fall colors. The wonderful scent of burning leaves (this memory probably dates me!) Riding my horse bareback down the road past sparkling streams and deep blue lakes, with most of the pesky flies and mosquitos gone. Such glorious times! The photo is of Tucker, with a friend in the saddle, though, so I could take a photo. Do you have special memories of fall?
Soon, I will be traveling to far-northern Wisconsin to visit fellow-writer Lyn Cote. After visiting each fall, I start to look forward to next year’s trip. We’ve been doing this since the early 1990s! What a wonderful time it is to be there, visiting with a dear friend in person instead of on zoom or a cellphone! The fall leaves turn more quickly up there, with their cooler weather, and it’s breathtaking to drive under canopies of brilliant orange, scarlet and yellow leaves as the roads wind through the forests and past endless lakes. Do you have a special place you’ve been visiting for years?
But before taking that trip, I’m happy to share that I have a new book out today! COLD CASE DANGER.
Here’s a quick peek:
Janna McAllister figures she has everything under control. But maybe not…
She can handle raising her daughter alone. The refurbishing of a remote Wyoming mountain lodge and derelict cabins in time for tourist season income. Caring for her increasingly confused mom.
But when her ragamuffin dog digs up human remains behind a cabin and she starts seeing a shadowy figure lurking in the surrounding forest, danger mounts.
Will her intriguing new boarder and his troubled son prove helpful, or is she totally on her own?

My fave memory of Fall was going to the rodeo. It was always held the end of Oct, early Dec. The blurb sounds so good
My favorite place was my grandparents’… they passed years ago, so I miss them and their home. So many great memories!
Autumn is my divine time! I’m lucky enough to live in the woods after camping in them for so many years 🍂 and memories of sleeping in a tent.
Have fun on your getaway!
