Christmas Stories? Read ONLY at Christmas?

As an author, this is a sentiment that I hear quite often from other authors. Usually as a statement: “I won’t promote my Christmas stories until late in the year. People don’t want them till then.” So is that correct? Personally I enjoy Christmas stories year-round. But I must confess that I do enjoy reading a few new ones and a few favorites again in the holiday season.

I also like to watch the Hallmark channel’s romance. (The ones with Debbie Macomber’s romances are my favorites. Remember “Mrs. Miracle?”) But lately I find I enjoy the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries ones better. I like a bit of intrigue.

I also enjoy many of the Lifetime Channel Christmas offerings. My favorite from 2019 was “Twelve Pups of Christmas.” It was a unique, quirky yet true to life romance with puppies! (If you are a prime member, it’s free to view.) What’s more–this Christmas movie inspired me to get together a group of six sweet romance authors who wrote six Christmas novellas, each with two elements: a puppy and Christmas! Here are the Puppies for Christmas lineup:

Beneath Northern Lights by Lyn Cote
The Mistletoe Puppy by Roxanne Rustand
Christmas Redemption by Laura Scott
Puppy Love and Jingle Bells by Merrillee Whren
Joy Comes to Bedford Falls by Susan Aylworth
A Christmas Puppy to Cherish by Josie Riviera

So do you love puppies? Christmas? Just click the titles above one by one and learn more about each one.

OH, AND THE BEST PART-THEY’RE ALL 99 CENTS EACH UNTIL 12/31/20 So don’t delay, click now!

PS-If you don’t finish them all before Christmas, go right ahead and enjoy them throughout 2021!

I love to read Christmas stories during the holiday season. However, I will read them any time of year – they are still wonderful all year round! I have read three of the sweet Puppies for Christmas books (yours is one of them) and hope to read the others, too.

  3. Such a fun and heartwarming series. Thanks for the mention, Lyn.

THANKS so much, ladies! The only thing that bothers me is when Hallmark starts showing Christmas movies BEFORE Halloween–a bit much.

Do You Like Kittens in Romance Books?

Dogs? How about twins? My upcoming book, Amy’s Forever Love, was wonderful fun to write! The hero is a veterinarian who owns a basset hound named Bummer. I love basset hounds. Their expression is so soulful and they seem to listen to every word. The story begins with Amy, a single mom, and her twins… Read More
