From as far back as my kindergarten days my school report cards were riddled with comments on my proclivity for daydreaming. I was always getting caught staring out the window... or interrupted from important creative business as I saw it. Over the years that hasn't changed much. If anything it's gotten worse — the lot of a writer. I'm always being visited by my characters and they talk so loudly I have to write their stories.

My road to publication was long and winding. I've been writing off and on since high school but, as often happens, other duties called (like earning a living, what a drag) and for many years writing took a back seat. I wrote in dribs and drabs, and completed manuscripts were few and far between. That was until I had my first daughter in 2005 and I started a regular routine of writing during her nap times. I completed one manuscript that didn't quite make it before I revisited an old ms that I'd always liked (one of the few that did get finished!). That manuscript, originally called The Little Red Dress, became my first published novel, the re-titled Born Again Virgin. I still get comments on that title, which I thought of on the spur of the moment just before I submitted it to Samhain Publishing, with high hopes of grabbing an editor's attention :). Imagine my excitement when that editor wrote back in only two weeks to say she wanted to buy the story! Born Again Virgin was released as an e book in May 2007. Then along came a short story I wrote almost entirely for fun called Fijian Fling. And yes, the title does give away the plot :), and from all reports, it IS a fun read. In between those releases and my latest erotic novella, Chasing Sunset, I had another baby, learned to blog, advertise, edit, design bookmarks and a website... I've never been so busy as I have been since I first received that acceptance from Samhain. As for my next project? I have a new novel coming out, a follow up to Chasing Sunset entitled Sunset Knight. I can't wait for this one to be published. After that? It could be anything. I'll keep you posted right here...
