We are no more than the sum of our stories.

Megan Kerans was born with a love of adventure and romance in her blood. A descendent of Musketeers, she began creating exciting tales long before she could read. Those early imaginative stories captured the full attention of her fellow pre-schoolers and made devoted fans of her stuffed animals. As Megan grew older, she travelled extensively and quickly developed a love of new places, history, and cultures. If she wasn't reading about daring escapades, she was watching them in the form of Indiana Jones, Robin Hood or Star Wars. Together they gave her a love of adventure, romance, and story telling.

Life and earning a bachelors and masters degree in communications intruded on any quest for a writing career until New Years 2003. Megan's admits her earliest attempts involved penning several sexy category romances, but swears the Holy Grail will be found before those awful manuscripts ever see the light of day. Her first clue she might be on the wrong path came when she realized her office décor resembled Tim Burton's Corpse Bride more than Cosmo. Armed with this knowledge and an usual imagination, she switched to paranormal romance and challenge of exploring sex hotter than the Sahara along with timeless legends and exciting adventures.

Never one to back down from a challenge, her sexy vampire pirate series Dead Men Tell TalesMoonlight Pirate began with dare in January 2006 from writing friends Delilah Devlin and Elle James. Before she knew what happened she was hooked. The paranormal erotic novella became her first sale. Megan quickly followed the success with sales to Kensington Aphrodisia and Ellora's Cave.

A native Chicagoan, with Wisconsin roots, Megan currently lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, an overly intelligent Abyssinian and two flame point Siamese. The little time not spent writing, or cat herding, she enjoys reading, making her annual pilgrimage to Walt Disney World, graphic design & photography, and fencing.
