Last month I blogged here about anticipation, even including an official definition. And part of what I was anticipating then came true!
Of course, I expected it to. I’d been waiting for the publication of my second K-9 Ranch Rescue story for Harlequin Romantic Suspense: Trained to Protect. It was, in fact, an October release. I’ve visited copies in local bookstores and left bookmarks–as I often do, whether or not I have a new book out.
So what am I anticipating now? Well, my last Alpha Force book for Harlequin Nocturne will be a November release: Visionary Wolf. It’s my ninth book in my series, but the paranormal Nocturne line is ending and so is my series. Still, I can look forward to my last book in that series.
But enough about me and my anticipation–for now. I’d imagine that a lot of you reading this are full of anticipation, too. For one thing, this year is going quickly. Don’t they all? But some favorite holidays are fast approaching. Halloween, for one, at the end of this month.
And next month? Thanksgiving, a fun time to get together with family and friends. And then it’ll be December with its many family-inspiring holidays, including Christmas and Chanukah.
Are you anticipating those holidays? Are you anticipating any time off work? What’s your favorite thing to anticipate? What’s your least favorite thing–such as anticipating dragging out the garbage cans each week?
Another thing I’ve been anticipating is that this blog is due to be posted on Wednesday, October 17. That’s my younger dog Cari’s second birthday! Of course I’ve been anticipating it.
So think about it. Our lives are filled with anticipation of things both good–mostly, hopefully–and bad. I hope that whatever good stuff you’re anticipating comes true!
