When we initially met Daisy in the first book in the series, she was a tragic, heart-broken single-mom trying to put the pieces of her life back together after her husband left her to raise their three kids alone. I didn’t have much of a concept of what would be waiting for her when I got to Book 4, but as I wrote the next two books, I fell in love with the stubborn and now fiercely independent woman who wanted to protect her kids—and herself—from feeling that kind of pain ever again.
I wanted to give her a happily-ever-after that was larger than life. A real life fairy tale.
Cue the arrival of Jack Harrison. The future governor of their state who was not only sexy and smart, but funny and generous and trying to do the right thing by his daughter who had lost her mother—his wife—years before. Jack was perfect for Daisy and she for him, even though they wouldn’t normally ever orbit in the same universe.
At least not until a mix-up in vacation plans brings them face-to-face late one night and they discover their families are sharing the same home on beautiful Lake Tahoe. Finding ways to keep them together, so they could realize how perfect the other one was for them and their kids, was so much fun, but nothing compared to finally giving Daisy and her kids the fairy tale ending she deserved.
And that’s just what she got.
I hope you all love reading their story and enjoy catching up with all the other couples in the series!

Series: The Sorensen Family #4
Single mom Daisy Sorensen doesn’t believe in fairytale endings—at least not for her. All she wants is to enjoy a much-needed, stress-free family vacation at a friend’s Lake Tahoe home. So of course everything that can go wrong does. Including a gorgeous man and his daughter showing up in the middle of the night.
Soon-to-be Governor Jack Harrison has had a crazy week, but he’s sure nothing can top arriving to find a bathrobe-clad, beautiful stranger in the home he’s staying in for the week. He’s wrong. When things spiral out of control the next morning, Jack makes Daisy an offer she can’t refuse. She’ll pretend to be his fiancée and he’ll help her open the bakery she’s been dreaming about.
But in between late-night campfires and days on the lake, Jack finds himself falling for the strong, stubborn woman for real.
