Meeting Nora at RWA

Want to share your memories about meeting Nora? E-mail me with your story.

I was lucky enough to attend the Librarian/Bookseller Day at the Romance Writer's of America Conference in New York City. Nora was one of the many speakers the dat and toward the end of the question and answer session with her and Susan Elizabeth Phillips, they were talking about the image of the romance writer. I interjected with, being a Children's Librarian, I completely understood how that was.

Hours later, they held a author signing open to the public with many authors. I, of course, immediately went on line for Nora. After a few minutes of waiting, I finally reached her and held out my name tag to ease in asking for spelling. To my utter surprise her comment was, "the children's librarian right?" I was so excited that she actually remembered me. We had a short conversation about how much we both admired Eve Dallas (I was getting Portrait in Death signed) and I left with a wonderful memory of a wonderful woman.
