Yes, there are OTHER authors besides Nora - as a matter of fact, Nora has reccomended some to her fans, so check these authors out - they're on this page for a reason. Want to reccomend an author? Email me or fill out the form.
If you are a fan of romantic suspense by such authors as Iris Johansen, Suzanne Brockmann,
Nora, etc. with secondary characters included in the book that are well worth their own stories, read
Cherry Adair's first novel, Kiss and Tell. You will be adding her to your list of authors to watch for
when the sequels come out! Guaranteed!
Picture Harry Potter all grown up and living in Chicago. Harry Dresden is the only consulting wizard in the Chicago phone book. The books--four so far--are an entertaining blend of magic and mayhem. I guarantee you'll fall in love with Harry's self-deprecating wit. But don't take my word for it--check out an excerpt from Jim's latest book, Death Masks. Start with Storm Front.
I never heard this author's name before I joined McNab. Recently I started hunting down her out-of-print stuff and it is absolutely HYSTERICAL! Crusie has great heroines who are socially conscious feminists and cause mayhem everywhere they go. Trouble just follows these women--crazy and wild and full of life. I've never read such funny characters outside of Evanovich's Plum series. Some of the books I've read -- and give 5 stars to each:
MANHUNTING
GETTING RID OF BRADLEY
STRANGE BEDPERSONS -- starts a tad slow TRUST ME ON THIS
THE CINDERELLA DEAL
ANYONE BUT YOU

These came with a recommendation from Nora, so you know they have to be good! :-) Temple Barr is a public relations specialist who keeps getting caught up in murders, and Midnight Louie is a cat of her acquaintance. They're smart, witty, and there's even a romantic triangle similar to the one Stephanie Plum finds herself in. Start with Catnap.
Another awesome author introduced to me by the ladies of McNab. Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter - she is hilarious! Start with One for the Money, and you'll be hooked!
Christine Feehan - Dark Prince, Dark Desire, Dark Gold, Dark Magic, etc.
(be sure to read them in that order)
If you like vampire books, you need to read these books. I
started reading them and could not put them down til I was finished.
I just read The Face of Deception and it is AWESOME! Almost as good as reading a Nora - and ironically enough, the main character is named Eve. Seriously, this is an awesome suspense book - and there's another coming out with the same characters, The Killing Game.
Judith McNaught -
Remember When, Paradise, Perfect, Until You
I first got hooked on romance novels through Nora,
so it was hard for me to believe that there was
another athor that wrote even remotely well
compared to her. Judith McNaught is my second love.
I don't enjoy the historicals that she writes as
much as the contemporaries (the ones I listed
here) but if you do enjoy historicals, they are
good too. Start with Remember When. You'll read it
over and over.
He does write a fabulous tale, lots of twists and
turns and really evil baddies. :) He's got one main series going, the Alex
Cross books. Nice short chapters too, really easy to get into and they build
the pace pretty quickly. Gotta say his other series is my favourite at the
moment, the Women's Murder club - a DA, a journalist, a medical examiner and
a homicide detective working together on two serial cases, real chilling
stuff.
The first time I tried romance novels, back in the late 1980s, I bought about 6 Silhouettes a month for almost a year until I got tired of them and decided "I didn't like romance novels." I got rid of all those books, except for three: Nora's Time Travel Duo, and The Vow by Dallas Schulze. Turns out I had excellent taste, even back then, because once I returned to romance, I discovered that Dallas's books are consistently high-quality, romantic, entertaining reads with a light sprinkling of her trademark intelligent wit. Along with Nora, one of the very few authors whose books never disappoint.
