The mythology of the One Night Stand has existed almost as long as the elusive promise of Love at First Sight, and many would tell you that, like Superman and Clark Kent, they are never seen in the same room at the same time.

Or are they?

This month, Roxanne St. Claire returns with a new book in her Barefoot Bay Undercover Series:  BAREFOOT WITH A STRANGER, and if this New York Times bestselling author’s latest romantic suspense is to be believed Love at First Sight and a One Night Stand can, indeed, sometimes turn out to be one and the same.

Barefoot with a StrangerBAREFOOT WITH A STRANGER sees the return of Francesca Rossi, a computer whiz and the youngest member of the Rossi-Angelino clan from the author’s Guardian Angelino Series. Chessie, as she is known to her friends, has a new assignment that has taken her from behind her computer and into the field, where she decides to ramp up her love life by indulging in her first one-night stand on the way to meeting her new partner:  Former CIA Agent Malcolm Harris.

Fresh out of prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Harris isn’t above seducing a stranger the night before his big new assignment either, though he leaves his conquest behind convinced the woman is actually a spy.

Theirs might have been a partnership made for forever, but have Chessie’s and Watson’s one-night stands made that impossible?  Only time will tell.

So how about you? Has a one-night stand ever turned into something more?

BAREFOOT WITH A STRANGER can be purchased in eBook and/or trade paperback formats for/from:
