It’s the official time of year for two things:
- Feeling thankful for our many blessings
- Gearing up for the annual family Thanksgiving feuds
What does your family fight over?
Does your aunt think nobody else’s stuffing is worth eating, but no one else will eat more than a bite of hers?
Does grandpa scrape all the cheese off the top of the green bean casserole before anyone else gets a share?
Do you want ham, but your mother-in-law insists turkey is the only acceptable meat to serve?
Does your husband want to watch/cheer for Team A, while your brother and/or father are hardcore fans for A’s arch-rival, Team B . . . and, naturally, they’re playing in separate games at the same time?
Do some family members want a Thanksgiving lunch while others would prefer an evening meal?
Does your new daughter-in-law insist she and your son celebrate Thanksgiving with her family instead of yours?
No matter what your family members disagree about, or how big your family feuds might seem, just remember there’s always at least one blessing everyone shares: although Christmas is just a month away, you won’t all have to get together—or agree on anything—for Thanksgiving again for a whole year.
