Do you enjoy reading romantic suspense?
If you're like me, nothing gets your juices flowing better than a twisted thriller or a cunning caper or a romantic intrigue that leaves the private eye guessing or the police stumped at every turn. How many nights have you stayed awake, furiously turning the pages of that new romantic suspense you simply couldn't resist buying at the bookstore the last time you were there? You know you should put it down, turn out the lights and get some shut eye like every other sane person in the world but... the plot has you completely enthralled and its claws are embedded deep within your mind, your brain cells working overtime to figure out "whodunit"? So what if there are icy shivers racing down your spine? Doesn't that sound fascinating? When I spoke to her about the plot for HIS CHILD, Delores answered, "I got the plot idea for HIS CHILD while we were having dinner with friends at a restaurant. I didn't have any paper with me so I jotted down notes on red cocktail napkins. I stuffed them into my purse, and then had to make head or tails of the info when I got home!" This book is truly different. Trust me. Even Delores's editor admitted a plot like this had never come across her desk before. Isn't that something? I have no doubt you'll find yourself hooked from the first page and once you are, you won't be able to put it down!

With ancestors like that, it’s easy to understand why Delores, a Texan and former Air Force captain, feels as if she were genetically predisposed to writing romances.
Along the way to fulfilling her DNA destiny, Delores married an Air Force top gun who just happens to be of Viking descent.
With all those romantic bases covered, she doesn't have to look too far for inspiration.

I had a great time learning more about HIS CHILD and chatting with Delores Fossen. It's always fun to read new stories and get caught up in the passion and intrigue we find in books, but for me, it's equally thrilling to get to know the author a little better, find out what makes her tick, how she comes up with the ideas or creates her heroes and villains.
