booker - Hi Kay
spin1 - hi kay
Trace - Kay, (am
I allowed to mention other books??) I just finished Wizard of Seattle and
I have to tell you i really enjoyed it!
Sara - We will be
doing protocol, so remember to use a ? to get in line!
Karen - I love your
books -- first read Amanda and have been hooked ever since. Just started
reading your newest. It's great!!
Tipai - ok thanks
sara Im new and didnt know
KayH - I keep hearing
SS was scary -- which is great. <G>
Cissy - Okay guys,
tonight we'll be following a protocol, so type ? to line up with your questions
and I'll call on you turn.
JL - ?
Mari - ?
Tipai - ?
Sara - no problem,
Tipai!!
CSailor - ?
psg - i keep going
to the store in hopes it gets there early.
Sara - Mischief,
was that a question request??
Katd1d - I too enjoyed
Stealing Shadows and can hardly wait for Hiding the the Shadows to come
out
Sherryl - ??
psg - the next book
that is.
Cissy - Kay, while
people are lining up, do you have anything you'd like to say to the group
Mischief - Kay, Love
your books from the Loveswepts to the Kay Robbins, to the House of Cards
series to the present day lines. Question: which is your favorite genre
to write and which to read? >^..^<
Jay - ?
Camby - And can I
just say this first? Please, please, PLEASE keep icon usage to a minimum.
They slow down the room when there are this many people. Thanks!
Mischief - oops.
had that already typed. Sara, yes it was a request line.
spin - ?
Tiggedy2 - ?
KayH - Cissy -- just
want to say again, sorry I'm late! And no questions are off bounds ...
so ask away!
Sara - okay, Cissy
will be moderating.
Jay - Make that ?
? ? ? ??
Tipai - hahahhahahhaahha
Jay
Cissy - Marty937
is first up. (Mischief, JL, Mari, Tipai, CSailor, Sherryl, Jay, spin are
in line)
Camby - Sorry Sherryl.
LOL
Tiggedy2 - ?
Tasha - ?
Marty937 - Kay, first
of all I would like to tell you that I really enjoyed STEALING SHADOWS.
When will we, the reader, see Noah soften up a bit? He seems to be testing
everyone/everything. Is this because he's got psychic tendencies himself?
Jay - C'mon Marty
- I'm dying here!
Cissy - No problem,
Kay - we're all just thrilled to have you
KayH - Marty, you
get to understand Bishop a bit better in Hiding in the Shadows, where he's
the hero's best friend. Then you get his story in Out of the Shadows --
which will explain a lot!
Camby - *feeding
Jay oxygen*
Jay - *hyperventilating,
bouncing in seat*
psg - at least we
don't have to wait 6months to a year for the next installment.
Mischief - Kay, Love
your books! From the oldies to the current day. Q: which is your favorite
genre to write and which to read? what's up next in your "to write" list?
spin - poor jay -always
knew kiwis where better at handling stress than aussies
Jay - Speak for yourself
psg!
Katd1d - Kay, do
you plan to write any more books like Wizard of Seattle --time travel,
magic ...?
CSailor - oh cool!
Bishop gets a more active part in the next book then!
KayH - Michief, I
read lots of mystery and suspense, but I also read fantasy, romance, non-fiction
... everything, in fact. Same with writing -- I like to try my hand at
whatever interests me!
Cissy - Katd, I'll
put you in line for a question
Jay - Cissy - whip
us back into line, I've lost track of the conversation!
Tipai - yeah I liked
Bishop too, thats why Im so excited about the third instalment
KayH - Yes, there
will PROBABLY be a sequel to Wizard -- some day. <G>
Sara - Remember we
are in protocol, if you want to ask a question, type a "?" and you will
be put in queue
spin - yeah the 1sr
book hasn't evenmade it to our fair shores yet
Cissy - JL, you're
next. (Mari, Tipai, CSailor, Sherryl, Jay, spin, Tiggedy2, Tasha, Katd1d
are in line)
SandraW - Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops, sorry. Lost it at the thought of a Wizard sequel. LOL
JL - Kay, you've
published many books. 2 questions: 1) Who has helped you the most with
the "contracts" end of things? Yourself, a lawyer, an agent, or?.. 2)I
read the "editorial" criticizing RWA for not helping members, re: advance
info etc. Are there any organizations that helped you know if you were
being offered good or top-of-the-line advances/deals?
KayH - My agent has
handled all my contracts for the last 16 years. As for which organizations
have actually helped me, I have to say Novelists, Inc. probably -- RWA
very little. But then, I was published when I joined, and it isn't geared
to helping published members.
Tipai - a sequel
to wizard? wow!!
Katd1d - How long
does it usually take to write a book ,
KayH - Depends, Kat.
A book like Stealing Shadows probably took months from start to finish
-- but weeks actual working time.
KayH - By that, I
mean that if I worked eight hours a day every day, I'd write a book probably
in six to eight weeks.
Tipai - is it my
turn?
Cissy - Mari you're
next (Tipai, CSailor, Sherryl, Jay, spin, Tiggedy2, Tasha, Katd1d are in
line)
Mari - I wanted to
know if any of your earlier books will be re-released anytime soon? And
I LOVE your books!!!
