Kellie - - 3/5 at 9:10pm EST
Pamela-1 - Hi Everyone
Robin Schone - The Lover--well, Michael has violet eyes. And--surprise, surprise, he is what we would currently call a gigolo. Though they didn't call them that 100 years ago.
SusanC - Robin and Emma are probably the better known uthors tonight
Stacey - Hi Pamela
Naomi - Gigolo's are good, lol!
Pamela-1 - Hi Stacey
Kellie - logged on - 3/5 at 9:11pm EST
Robin Schone - Michael is VERY good.
Ģinda "RBL" - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:11pm EST
Robin Schone - The Lover is an April release. Look for a full page ad in the special gold anniversary edition of RedBook magazine!
Lisa/3 - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:12pm EST
Robin Schone - Hi, Linda!
Ģinda "RBL" - Hi everyone
Pamela-1 - Robin - do you already have your next book in the works?
SusanC - so the hero is a gigolo? What is the setting?
Stacey - Hi Linda & Lisa/3
Robin Schone - The setting is Victorian England, 1886.
Robin Schone - An excerpt can be read over at my web site.
Robin Schone - Like all of my books, it is not for the faint of heart. In fact, I would say it's my hottest book to date.
Robin Schone - Hi, Alicia!
margiearden - Is it your favorite, or do you have one?
Pamela-1 - That's good news Robin - I love your style of writing. The hotter the better.
RBLMaggie - Hi everybody! Am I late????
Robin Schone - Thank you, Naomi. It will be out very soon now.
SusanC - So he charges the good Victorian ladies to have sexs with them? How does the heroine fit into the picture?
Ģinda "RBL" - Hi Maggie
Kellie - logged on - 3/5 at 9:16pm EST
RBLMaggie - Hi Linda! Hi Robin! Hi everybody
Alice G - Hello, All
Nikita Black - logged on - 3/5 at 9:17pm EST
Emma Holly - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:17pm EST
joslync - logged on - 3/5 at 9:17pm EST
Ģinda "RBL" - Hi Emma I just finished Velvet Glove & Loved it!!
RBLMaggie - Ann! That's so cute!!! How did you do that? Susan, are you the moderator? Welcome authors!!!
Robin Schone - Anne is a thirty-six year old virgin spinster who is very, very wealthy. Her parents recently died, whom she cared for. She wants to experience a man's intimate embrace, but knows that if she marries, all that will happen is that she will hand over her money and still not get what she yearns for. So she hires Michael.
Emma Holly - hello, everybody! Thank you, Linda!
Stacey -
joslync - So Anne is a little like Abigail, then. I can't wait!
Nikita Black - Hi all!
Robin Schone - Michael had been out of commision for 5 years when Anne hires him.
Alice G - Hi, Emma..another Red Sage author
SusanC - Hi Maggie I am the moderator tonight
Ann - LOL Maggie It's the true embodiment of my inner self! (I asked Cissy to fix it that way)
Vic - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:19pm EST
RBLMaggie - Susan, I just plugged you over at RBL. People were complaining about having a hard time buying erotica. I have NEVER seen it in the stores here.
margiearden - This sounds like a very 'interesting' book
joslync - I read somewhere that you're writing for another anthology, Robin. Is it with the same authors as Captivated?
Robin Schone - Vic--WELCOME!
Kellie - Does Michael have qualms about going back into "service" so to speak? Is he nervous, or just playing the game once again?
RBLMaggie - Emma, just finished VELVET GLOVE last night. It was GREAT!
Vic - Hello everyone
SusanC - JUst do notask me about the icons. I never play with those I have a hard enough time typing
Nikita Black - Hi Robin! Ca't wait to read your book. Just got it...
Kellie - HI Vic, Emma!
Robin Schone - Yes, Joslync, it is. FASCINATED will be out in October.
RBLMaggie - HI VIC!
Naomi - logged on - 3/5 at 9:20pm EST
Nikita Black - Hey Holly! Fancy meeting you here <G>!
Ann - Hi Vic!!
joslync - Woo-hoo! Another book for my "to buy" list...
Rae - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:21pm EST
Vic - Emma, how soon will your new Erotic Romance be out????
Ann - Maggie, I usually find erotica somewhere near the "self help" section
Alice G - Is anyone going to RT this year?
SusanC - Welcome to Everyone! Our authors tonight are Emma Holly, Robin Schone, Nikita Black and Alice
Emma Holly - Hi, Nikita. Of course, I'm here. This is where all the hotties hang out.
Vic - I am going!!!!
BarbSheridan - logged on - 3/5 at 9:22pm EST
Robin Schone - Kellie, Michael eagerly accepts Anne's offer. It's been 5 years since a woman willingly touched him. But there is another reason he accepts her offer--to lure a killer, the man who is responsible for the fire that scarred him.
RBLMaggie - I've looked there, Ann. Can't find it.
Alice G - That's Alice Gaines aka Chambers
joslync - LOL, Ann - is that a subconscious message of some kind?
Stacey - Ann, that's where I find it too...if they have it at all
Ģinda "RBL" - Vic & I are trying to plan RT
joslync - Do you write under both names, Alice?
Nikita Black - I'll be at RT also.
Alice G - I'm supposed to put together an erotic romance panel.
SusanC - Sorry Alice I blanked on which name you use to write your more erotic stories
Kellie - I will be at RT..Naomi also, God willing.
Vic - BarbS - Hi! haven't seen you in a long time!
RBLMaggie - Susan, can you ask our authors to introduce themselves?
Pamela-1 - Emma - I haven't been able to get any of your books. They are all out of print. Any re-releases scheduled?
Naomi - Ohhhh suspence! i love it, Robin!
Alice G - Yes, I write under both names...Chambers is only with Leisure so far
Emma Holly - Well, I'm going to RT. I'm going to be on a panel - Eek - with my agent's boss, about career planning. I'd love to meet RBL folks while I'm there . . .
BarbSheridan - been busy Vic
Naomi - Yes, I will be there, Can't dissappoint Kellie!
Nikita Black - Alice, I'd love to talk about the panel privately.
Bren - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:24pm EST
Kellie - Oh, Robin..5 years is a long time for Michael...this sounds SO very wonderful..
Vic - Emma, you can't miss a Rebel in the area!
Emma Holly - Pam, Velvet Glove and Cooking are both available from amazon.com
karla - logged on - 3/5 at 9:24pm EST
Alice G - Sure...how do I get my e-mail address to you, Nikita?
SusanC - OKAY! Lets stop posting for a moment and allow the authors to introduce themselves
Vic - BE SURE TO GET VELVET GLOVE Pam!!!!!!
Antica - logged on - 3/5 at 9:24pm EST
Alice G - Who wants to go first?
Ann - In borders Maggie Erotica is usually next to the foreign liturature or the homosexual liturature. (I'm not even going to try and figure the reason for that placement)
Bren - VELVET GLOVE & COOKING UP A STORM are great!
Robin Schone - SusanC? Who should go first?
SusanC - Alice why don't you start by telling us about your Stories for the Secrets books
Alice G - I'll have another with Red Sage soon -- a very sexy Victorian
Vic - Sounds like my kinda read!!!!!
Alice G - LOL...which?
Nikita Black - Titles, we want titles!
RBLMaggie - All of 'em sound good to me, Alice!
Vic - yes! Titles and how bout a last name!
SusanC - So you have a story in SECRETS 6 due out in December?
Ģinda "RBL" - Yes give us titles
Alice G - I think it's Volume 7, but she hasn't told me.
Ann - I really like THE SPINNER'S DREAM Alice!
Alice G - Thanks, blush, you read that? It was my first fiction even
Robin Schone - What about the release date of your next one, Alice?
Vic - Yes please and please, a last name
Ann - yes, I have SECRETS 1, 2 and 4.
Marg - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:30pm EST
Alice G - I don't actually know. Oh, dear...
Susanna - Good evening !
Alice G - The hero of The Spinner's Dream, Thiele, was a love churl. He hoped the heroine could use magic to remove his churl's collar so that he could escape to "the outside."
Pamela-1 - Hi Susanna
Ann - Hi Susanna!!!
RBLMaggie - That was a really interesting story, Alice. I'll have to get teh other Secrets volumes (oh DARN - it's so HARD to read them.... HEE HEE!)
VicRBL - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:32pm EST
Alice G - Emma has a wonderful story in Volume 4, titled "The Love Slave." Great minds, huh?
Ģinda "RBL" - OK I'm lost Vic which vic are you??
VicRBL - I got kicked off and came back as VicRBL!
RBLMaggie - WHAT? Red Sage doesn't like to be called erotica?? HUH??? That's totally bizarre. What do they want to be?
VicRBL - They said they are rather HOT romance when I wrote to them a while back
Robin Schone - Wow--you mean Red Sage doesn't want to be called "Erotica?"
VicRBL - And this brings me to a question I would like to ask any of the authors
Emma Holly - For a lot of readers, to call something a romance is the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. It's meant to reassure the timid, I think.
karla - Does Black Lace keep a tighter rein on authors than Red Safe?
Pamela-1 - I've found that to be a problem. I love erotica - but there has to be a romance base to the story.
RBLMaggie - Well, I think erotic romance is the best term. I don't see what's wrong with "erotica." That sounds really strange to me that they don't like "erotic."
VicRBL - I think a lot of regular romance readers are thinking that romantic erotica is simply HOT romance and it is not and I think the word needs to get out just what the diff is
Alice G - I agree completey, Pamela.
Nikita Black - I think there's a big difference between erotic and erotic romance.
Emma Holly - Black Lace has different expectations than romance publishers, so you have a different set of restrictions.
RBLMaggie - Pamela - I'm in your corner. Me, too. That's why I like Robin and Emma's work so much. And Alices'. Forgive me, Nikita, I haven't had the pleasure YET!
Ģinda "RBL" - I just like Sexy books don't care what they call them!!
VicRBL - Erotic romance is very different than JUST a hot romance story
Alice G - I agree with you, too, Linda. Lemme go find one o' them icons!
Emma Holly - Yea, Linda!
RBLMaggie - YOU GO, Linda. Cut right to the heart of the matter.
VicRBL - there is a big difference I think and to some romance readers it can be shocking I think
Naomi - I agree with Linda...and Holly and Robin's are hot!
SusanC - Thank You Alice for telling us about your books. Nikita why don't you introdue yourself?
Pamela-1 - My husband doesn't actually read the romance novels - but he loves when I read erotic romance. LOL
RBLMaggie - Emma, I'd love to hear what Black Lace's restrictions are. When you introduce yourself, maybe.
SusanC - Nikita is the author of a very hot and wonderful historic e-book RENEGADES WOMAN
Bren - Here's my favorite, Alice
Ģinda "RBL" - They sure are Naomi, & now I have to get your & Alices too!!
Stacey - LOL Pam
Nikita Black - OKay, Susan! I write for Dreams Unlimited as Nikita Black and for Silhouette Intimate Moments as Nina Bruhns.
karla - RENEGADE'S WOMAN was great fun.
joslync - That's my favorite, too, Bren! So Alice, did you write Waitangi Nights and Moon of the Jaguar?
Robin Schone - I've heard great things about your e-book, Nikita.
Nikita Black - Renegade's Woman was the #7 overall bestselling ebook of 1999.
RBLMaggie - Nikita, do you know if Dreams has a hard-copy option on the books, yet?
Alice G - Yes, Joslync...those are two of mine. Thanks!
Nikita Black - Cajun Hot will be out hopefully May 1.
karla - Congratulations, Nikita! Great plot, lovely characters and hot too
Nikita Black - NO hard copy option yet, unfortunately.
joslync - How many Silhouette's have you written, Nikita?
Marg - Oh, Wow, Nikita, I just bought your new SIM this weekend.
Ģinda "RBL" - Is that an E-Book?
Nikita Black - My SIM, Catch Me If You Can, was out in Feb, and won the Rendezvous Rosebud Award for Feb, which I was tickled pink over.
Ģinda "RBL" - Sorry answered!!
Pamela-1 - To the Highly Acclaimed Authors joining us - Who are some of your favorite erotic authors & inspriations not currently present????
joslync - They both sound great, Alice. My "to buy" list just keeps growing....
SusanC - Who is releasing Cajun Hot?
Nikita Black - I just got word that my second SIM will be coming out next year or late this year, called Renegade Daddy.
Emma Holly - Laurell K. Hamilton is a big obsession for me.
Emma Holly - Vampires and werewolves, ooh yum
Robin Schone - Me, too, Emma!
Alice G - I love Emma Holly, and I blush to admit I haven't read much of Robin's books yet, but the look delicious!
Nikita Black - Dreams Unlimited is publishing Cajun Hot so far.
joslync - Me three - I love the Anita Blake series
RBLMaggie - Laurell rules. But then you guys are just as good!
VicRBL - Alice you are missing an exquisite treat!
Alice G - I'm getting to them...I'll savor them slowly when I do!
Stacey - I love LKH
RBLMaggie - Yes, Alice. RUN out and find THE LADY'S TUTOR before it's too late!
Emma Holly - Richard or Jean Claude, how's a girl to choose?
Esther - logged on - 3/5 at 9:43pm EST
Pamela-1 - I agree Vic - Robin's books really "DO IT" for me.
Alice G - Nikita, is Silhouette going to be doing more erotic things? Harelquin Canada is
RBLMaggie - Nikita, do you have a website?
Nikita Black - I really like writing for DU. They are great to work with.
Alice G - The Lady's Tutor is at the tippy-top of my TBR pile
Pamela-1 - Robin - who are some of your favorites?
margiearden - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:43pm EST
Nikita Black - Yep, it's at: http://members.aol.com/NikitaBlck -- notice no a in Black.
RBLMaggie - Well, Alice, grab it right off after the chat. You've got a treat in store.
Stacey - Hi Esther
Nikita Black - Also have one at www.NinaBruhns.com
Naomi - Canada is so nice that way with more erotic series books.
Robin Schone - LKH is right at my top right now. Also there's another really sexy, cool trilogy out by Anne Bishop, called Daughters of Blood, I think.
Nikita Black - The Nikita Black site is way out of date--been waiting for a new computer to update it. Sorry about that!
VicRBL - Just bookmarked it Nikita! thanks
Emma Holly - okay, have to check that one out
Pamela-1 - Nikita - are your "Nina Bruhns" books also steamy?
Nikita Black - LOL! Yep, they're pretty steamy too <G>. My editor had to 'censor' them for category sensibilities <G>.
RBLMaggie - Thanks, Nikita.
Nikita Black - However, she did leave the handcuffs in Catch Me...
RBLMaggie - ACK! That awful word! CENSOR!! ACK!
Robin Schone - What kinds of things did she sensor, Nikita?
Marg - Naomi, how is Canada different, do we have better selection than US?
VicRBL - Emmmma.........any date for the new release yet???
Robin Schone - Censor. Never said I could spell.
Emma Holly - Late 2000 or early 2001.
Naomi - Whenever I go home to Canada, it is easier to find more erotic books than here...
Nikita Black - Mosty erotic banter. I find they are less comfortable with 'mental' and 'language' erotic stuff than with actual physical intimacy. Weird.
Alice G - Emma, have you said the title and I missed it?
Esther - Hi
Ģinda "RBL" - Bummer thats way to long to wait, Emma!!
Robin Schone - That is weird.
Emma Holly - There may be some interesting things in A PERFECT MATCH, depending on what my editor lets me get away with
karla - Emma: have your characters ever taken over a book and taken it in a different direction than you planned?
Pamela-1 - Boy - my notepad is getting full with all of the tidbits I'm picking up tonight.
Emma Holly - They don't get too much leeway, karla, because I'm a terrible control freak!
Naomi - Emma, I heard you talk about that at the MFW meeting last month. I hope they give you a lot of latitude.
Stacey - LOL Pam...mine too
SusanC - Thanks Nikita, I definitely have Cajun Hot on my buy list. And highly recommend Renegade's Woman
Suz - logged on - 3/5 at 9:48pm EST
karla - Do you plot your books out carefully in advance?
Nikita Black - Thanks Susan!!!
Pamela-1 - Robin - I FINALLY got a copy of AML - Loved it.
Emma Holly - Well, I have done some things you can't do on Network television
Stacey - Hi Suz
Robin Schone - Thanks, Peamela-1
Suz - Thank God I got on. I had to read the directions to refresh my memory! How erotic is that!
Alice G - Karla, I do with my short pieces, but a full length book, I can't really see that far ahead.
Naomi - And we are glad, Holly
Robin Schone - Oops! Pamela-1!
karla - By the way, Emma, I have all of your books & short stories (except SUGAR & SPICE 2's).
VicRBL - Ahhh Emma you are a wicked tease!!!!!!!!
SusanC - Hi Emma , you need no introduction <VBG> So tell us what you are working on...
joslync - Do Robin, Emma and Alice have websites?
Sondra - logged on - 3/5 at 9:50pm EST
Tracy - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:50pm EST
Stacey - Hi Sondra and Tracy
karla - Emma's website is priceless! I'm trying very hard to read all of her recommended reads.
Naomi - Ooops, that was supposed to be Emma, never work on your thesis while doing a chat!
alicia - Emma, what boundries haven't you pushed?
Suz - What is the address for Emma's web site please!
Alice G - I don't have a website as yet. One of these days...
Alice G - oh, great...just what you needed...me is stereo
RBLMaggie - Eep - Emma, that URL didn't work.
Emma Holly - Right now, I'm working on an erotic romance for Berkley. I call it my Victorian "Will and Grace"
Robin Schone - I do--I'll give it later, when I find my new address.
SusanC - lol, Alice!
RBLMaggie - Hi Tracy. Sit back and enjoy. Emma is introducing herself.
Ann - LOL Alice!! we've all done it in stereo here!
Pamela-1 - My hubby keeps sneaking in the room and peaking over my shoulder to see what we ladies are chatting about. He can't sit still with wonder.
Bren - Sounds great Emma
Emma Holly - oops, I'm really at http://www.wavetech.net/~emmah/eroticmind
Ģinda "RBL" - Love the working title Emma!!
RBLMaggie - When is it out, Emma? Your Victorian?
Tracy - Emma, is this new book going to be along the lines of Menage?
Pamela-1 - Robin - what do you have in the works?
Marg - Emma, is Sean, from Menage, going to get his own story? She asks hopefully.
RBLMaggie - Alice - if you get a private message, just hit the UPDATE button.
joslync - That's okay, Alice.
Nikita Black - Emma's books are wonderful. I can't wait for APM.
Esther - where can I buy the black laces at?
Emma Holly - I just don't know about Sean, Marg. Both he and the secondary hero from Velvet Glove have been haunting me, but it depends on how career things work out. Tracy, A PERFECT MATCH, will be a Berkley romance.
Emma Holly - Esther, amazon.com or Borders are good sources
VicRBL - Emma writes characters who truly relate and incredible secondary characters which a lot of authors aren't good at
RBLMaggie - - 3/5 at 9:58pm EST
maggierbl - logged on. - 3/5 at 9:58pm EST
Emma Holly - thanks, Vic!
VicRBL - Yes Emma, Tommy's story would be nice. He was a sweetheart
Ģinda "RBL" - So Emma which secondary character Tommy I hope??
karla - Barnes&Noble online is good at finding older Black Lace's. You can also politely ask BSJ.
Bren - Tommy or Basil, Emma?
maggierbl - Geez, my list of participants has SHRUNK. Robin - I missed your last message.
maggierbl - OOoo, I loved Basil. What a wonderful character.
Emma Holly - In the Flesh comes out in July. It's my topless amnesia story. With a Japanese American hero and a former exotic dancer heroin. That's Tommy, Bren.
Robin Schone - It's not my turn yet, maggierbl. Patience!
Emma Holly - Yes, I can be quiet now - really!
VicRBL - I agree maggie, Basil is a wonderful character - so wise
Nikita Black - Oh, no! Don't tell me the trio from Menage aren't still together. I loved the ending...or maybe I didn't really get it?
Emma Holly - er, July Tracy
SusanC - I am selling Black Lace and Nexxus titles along with some other erotic titles from differnet publishers new from my site Bookaholics at a discount. I have alist of titles but the page is not up yet as I have been having a hard time finding synopsis
maggierbl - WAHHH!!! I can't find a copy of MENAGE!! WAHHHH!!!!
Ann - I loved Basil too. I really liked the interaction of all 3 characters in Velvet Glove.
Marg - Well, I hope they're still together...but I would like to see more of Sean
Bren - I really like the Bookaholics site SusanC
VicRBL - Mags - I will bring my copy to Vegas and loan it to you
SusanC - thanks
maggierbl - I know! Write a review for one of your books. I'll do it!
Lisa/3 - What is your site SusanC?
Marg - SusanC, what are Nexxus titles? I'm not familiar with these.
maggierbl - VIC!!!! Here's a just for you!
VicRBL - You too Lin!
VicRBL - Ahhhh thanks mags!!!!!!
maggierbl - Is it time for Robin to introduce herself?
VicRBL - I needed that!
Robin Schone - Emma, I loved Menege!
karla - Emma, just wanted to say Pierce was adorable. And what a day job!
