Books for the Year’s Most Romantic Month . . .

Writerspace - Let's Talk Books icon.inddWith the heart-shaped boxes of bonbons at the candy shop, the lacy valentines on the drug store shelf, and the arrow-wielding cherubs on TV, you’d have to be a hermit on a very high mountaintop not to know February is the month for sweethearts.

So it only goes to reason that the month that gave us Valentine’s Day would also bring a bevy of new romance novels.

And February 2016 doesn’t disappoint.

Whether it is USA Today Bestselling Author Marie Ferrarella’s Dr. Forget-Me-Not, Debra Clopton’s Kissed by a Cowboy or Lily Everett’s Three Promises, plenty of love stories await—with heroines that would melt the most hardened of hearts.

Dr Forget-Me-NotIn Dr. Forget-Me-Not, Melanie McAdams spends her days filling the lives of orphans with hope and meaning, which can leave her a little lonely at the end of them. That doesn’t mean, however, she’s ready to fly into the arms of the shelter’s handsome new volunteer doctor. And that’s okay with Mitchell Stewart.  He’s got time. In fact, he’s using it to concoct a plan to take their we-won’t-call-it-a-romance to the next level.

Fans of Debra Clopton will meet the most reluctant of heroines in her Four of Hearts Ranch Romance, Kissed by a Cowboy. Hardened by her parents’ string of matrimonial bliss gone wrong and recently divorced herself, Cassidy Starr decides she is through with love.  Her decision made, she returns Kissed by a Cowboyto Wishing Springs, Texas, and the rundown farm she inherited from her Great Aunt Roxie. Cassidy plans to reopen the strawberry farm along with a bed and breakfast, and then follow in her aunt’s footsteps: remaining forever single, independent and happy.  What her plan doesn’t take into account is the handsome cowboy living next door. Jarrod Monahan has had his hands full for a long time, what with running the ranch, looking after his ailing grandfather and chasing cattle rustlers.  So long, that he’s pushed his longing for a family of his own to the bottom of his list of priorities. Then the biggest regret of his life moves back to town with a vow to become a spinster, and Jarrod welcomes the chance to make things right. Watching the twosome fall in love is soon the best show in town.

Three PromisesLily Everett’s Billionaire Bachelor novellas have been praised by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Debbie Macomber for being incredible stories of “love, forgiveness, healing, and joy.” February sees the release of a paperback collection of all three of Everett’s Billionaire Bachelor novellas with a brand-new epilogue. Leo, Zane and Cooper have made a pact to stay bachelors and enjoy the single life forever, so when they hear their buddy Miles is getting married, they pocket their invitations and head to Sanctuary Island to talk some sense into the groom before he can make a life-changing mistake.  But Miles knows love is what makes a life good, and he vows to have all three of the Doubting Thomases changing their tune about holy matrimony before they head back to the mainland.

May love find its way to you this Valentine’s Day . . . or even better, may you have a good book and a box of chocolates to snuggle with.
