Dorothy Garlock, Queen Mary (Mary Knibbe Sr) and Janice Brown (*sweetpea) Thursday, May 20, 1999 - The Coronation Linda and I missed the coronation, but when we arrived at the Queen's floor it was very easy to see which room she had taken up residence -- the poster on the window! (see above photograph taken by Falcon.) Yes, everything was there: the tiara -- glittering on the royal head, the royal red pillow -- hand stitched by the handmaiden *sweetpea, the royal pillow case -- designed and created by *sweetpea, and the HELL SWORD. Thank goodness they put that far away from QM. I was afraid I might feel its wrath for being so late. Crown of Rhinestones  *sweetpea

I am a bit confused because I
unfortunately missed the actual
HOWEVER, I did get to see the room decked out, the Queen and her gifts and to kiss the royal hands!! Conclusion Wow, what a night!!! When I straggled in at 9:45pm, I was so astonished by the sign in the window, the lovely tiara, the beautiful red pillow, the colorful pillowcase and the scary HELL SWORD (it was lying on the top of the television!). I knew I missed the fun <sigh>. But I got to see the loot, umm gifts, and to kiss the hand of the queen and Dorothy Garlock. Somewhere there are pictures of that!!! It was fun to see everyone, but I missed TV (Vicki Patterson). She was supposed to arrive by 5:00pm.. Linda said she waited and waited. They were to take the flight from Atlanta together. WHERE WAS MY TELESLIM BUDDY??? |
